Hidhaaee Noor
''Hidhaaee Noor'' is a 2016 studio album performed by Shalabee Ibrahim. Lyrics for the album were written by Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, Adam Naseer Ibrahim, Hassan Shakir Mohamed, and Adam Abdul Rahman. The album was launched by Gayoom at an event held at Central Park, Malé, on 30 June 2016. Background and release On 26 June 2016, it was revealed that Ibrahim will launch his first studio album. An album of hymns, it was promoted as one of the Ramazan gifts by Ibrahim. The album had a song penned by Maumoon Abdul Gayoom. Apart from Gayoom, Adam Naseer Ibrahim, Hassan Shakir Mohamed and Adam Abdul Rahman penned the lyrics for the rest of the album. Chorus part of the hymns were provided by some students from Iskandhar School and Ghiyasuddin International School. Mastering of the songs were completed by Hussain Sobah from Eleven Eleven studio. Shalabee Ibrahim
Shalabee Ibrahim (born March 30, 1997) is a Maldivian singer. Born in Mulah, Maldives, his career began upon participating in the reality show ''Maldivian Idol'' (2016), in which he was awarded as the first runner up of the show. Early life and career 1997–2012: School life Shalabee Ibrahim studied from Al-Madhrasathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya. He was a prefect and participated in several Quran reciting competitions. He participated in the National Quran Competition for more than 9 times and has repeatedly being awarded; also winning the 2nd place from the whole competition once. Regarding his studies, Ibrahim said; "It was good till grade 9. Afterwards, I quit. I always have to get ready for the exams after memorising something. I never understand it to that extent, and there is a lack of interest". Maumoon Abdul Gayoom
Maumoon Abdul Gayoom (; dv, މައުމޫން ޢަބްދުލް ޤައްޔޫމް; born 29 December 1937) is a Maldivian politician and an Islamic scholar who served as the President of Maldives from 1978 to 2008. After serving as Minister of Transport, he was nominated as President by the Majlis (Parliament) of the Maldives and succeeded Ibrahim Nasir in 1978. He was defeated in the October 2008 presidential election. In opposition, he continued to serve as leader of the Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party until January 2010, when he retired from active politics. Malé (, ; dv, މާލެ) is the capital and most populous city of the Maldives. With a population of 252,768 and an area of , it is also one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Iskandhar School is a government-run public school in Malé, Maldives. It was founded in 10th May 1961, under the name of Hameediyya Montessori School. The school currently has over 2000 students and over 130 teachers. It is one of the oldest educational institutions in the Maldives. History Iskandhar School was established in 10th May, 1961, by the former Sultan of the Maldives, Muhammad Fareed Didi, under the name Hameediyya Montessori School. Initially, the school only catered to primary students of certain grades. The school was renamed to Naasiriyya Montessori school in 1970, following the extension of the school building and the creation of more classrooms. The first principal of the school, M. Hussain Sobah (11 November 1972) is a Maldivian film actor, music composer and playback singer. Career In 1995, Sobah featured in Mohamed Shiyaz's ''Dhushman'' alongside Mariyam Nisha, Aminath Rasheedha and Hamid Ali in pivotal roles. In the film, he plays the character Riyaz, an underprivileged young man who loses his girlfriend over social discrimination. Hamid Ali's ''Badhal'' was released in 1996, in which he starred alongside Ali, Niuma Mohamed and Waleedha Waleed as a twin; a mentally challenged young man with an immature attitude.
