Hideki Takahashi
is a Japanese people, Japanese actor. Born in Kisarazu, Chiba near Tokyo, he attended Ichikawa Gakuen and later Nihon University. Career Takahashi made his debut with Nikkatsu Corporation, Nikkatsu and acted in youth-oriented films. Takahashi made film debut with ''Kōgenji'' directed by Buichi Saitō in 1961. In 1963, he starred in the yakuza film ''The Symbol of a Man '' directed by Akinori Matsuo and won popularity. Under exclusive contract with Nikkatsu, his notable films are ''Fighting Elegy'' and ''Tattooed Life''. In 1971, Takahashi left Nikkatsu and became a freelance actor. In 1974, he starred in Kenji Misumi's last film ''The Last Samurai (1974 film), The Last Samurai''. On television, he became a star in such ''jidaigeki'' television dramas as Kunitori Monogatari and Momotarō-zamurai. Modern roles are also in his repertoire. is the name NHK gives to the annual year-long historical drama television series it broadcasts in Japan. Beginning in 1963 with the black-and-white ''Hana no Shōgai'', starring kabuki actor Onoe Shoroku II and Awashima Chikage, the network regularly hires different writers, directors, and other creative staff for each taiga drama. , also known as , was a samurai of Tosa Domain during the Bakumatsu period in Japan. Influenced by the effects of the Perry Expedition, Takechi formed the Tosa Kinnō-tō (土佐勤王党, Tosa Imperialism party) which was loyal to the ideals of the sonnō jōi movement. The Kinnō-tō killing of Yoshida Tōyō on 6 May 1862, led to ''sonnō jōi'' becoming the prevalent philosophy of Tosa Domain, but he was later imprisoned and forced to commit ''seppuku'' by the former ''daimyō'' of Tosa Domain Yamauchi Yōdō. is a trilogy of epic war films directed by Satsuo Yamamoto, based on the novel of the same name by Junpei Gomikawa.
