Hidden Away (2020 Film)
''Hidden Away'' () is a 2020 Italian Biographical film, biographical drama film co-written, directed and co-edited by Giorgio Diritti. It stars Elio Germano as Italian painter Antonio Ligabue, who lived a notoriously reclusive life, troubled with physical problems and mental illness. It was selected to compete for the Golden Bear in the main competition section at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival. At Berlin, Elio Germano won the Silver Bear for Best Actor. Plot The story of the painter Antonio Ligabue, with flashbacks showing glimpses of his childhood and his Italian Swiss people, Swiss-Italian origins. Little Antonio is entrusted to adoptive parents and immediately begins to have psychophysical disorders, ill with rickets, and after being expelled from school and attacking his mother, he is hospitalized several times in an asylum. Giorgio Diritti
Giorgio Diritti (born 21 December 1959) is an Italian film director, director and screenwriter. Career Diritti trained by working alongside various authors such as Pupi Avati and made various castings for films in Emilia-Romagna, including Federico Fellini's ''The Voice of the Moon''. He took part in the activity of Ipotesi Cinema, an institute for the training of young authors, founded and directed by Ermanno Olmi. During the years, Diritti directed documentaries, short films and television programs. His debut film, ''The Wind Blows Round'', participates in over 60 national and international festivals, winning over 36 awards and became a "national case", remaining in programming at Cinema Mexico in Milan for more than a year and a half. Naïve Art
Naïve art is usually defined as visual art that is created by a person who lacks the formal education and training that a professional artist undergoes (in anatomy, art history, technique, perspective, ways of seeing). When this aesthetic is emulated by a trained artist, the result is sometimes called '' primitivism'', ''pseudo-naïve art'', or ''faux naïve art''. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review aggregator, review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Although the name "Rotten Tomatoes" connects to the practice of audiences throwing rotten tomatoes in disapproval of a poor Theatre, stage performance, the direct inspiration for the name from Duong, Lee, and Wang came from an equivalent scene in the 1992 Canadian film ''Léolo''.
