HiT TV
Hit TV is a local Kazakh television channel that has been start since 7:00 AM (Alma-Ata Time) in October 21, 2003. It's a dedicated youth oriented music television network showing all the latest music videos from Kazakhstan and abroad. Like many other national music video networks, Hit TV also has regular "show business" programs featuring music and movie gossip from around the world. Hit TV is owned by the Shahar Media Group. The Kazakhs (Kazakh language, Kazakh: , , , ) are a Turkic peoples, Turkic ethnic group native to Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Shahar Media Group
The Shahar Media Group is now a state run media firm in Kazakhstan which has several entertainment holdings across the country. The company is run by Nurali Nazarbayev, son of Dariga Nazarbayeva and grandson of Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev. Kayrat Kulbayev is vice president, and manages the company interests including local music television network HiT TV. SuperStar KZ
''SuperStar KZ'' is a reality television show based on the popular British show Pop Idol, which aired from 2003 to 2007 on the Kazakh television channel "Channel One Eurasia, Eurazıa Birinşi arnasy". The talent contest determined the best young singers in Kazakhstan by allowing viewers to vote by phone or SMS. A supplementary show ''SuperStar KZ Dnevnik'' (SuperStar KZ Diary), shown twice weekly, provided a recap of the previous show and week's events for the contestants. SuperStar KZ was presented entirely in Russian, though Russian, Kazakh language, Kazakh and English songs were performed. Some contestants such as Ainur Nazarbekova, Altynay Sapargalieva, Altynay and Zhanara Khamitova, Zhanara spoke Kazakh on the show. Peter René Baumann (born 5 January 1968), better known under his stage name DJ BoBo, is a Swiss singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and music producer.
