HiTV
High Television (also known as HiTV) was Entertainment Highway's multi-channel digital satellite television service in Nigeria, launched in 2007. It useHypercableDigital Terrestrial technology and launched Direct to Home (DTH) Satellite technology on the August 1, 2007. HiTV later broadcast its material only on satellite at the price of N3,500 ($27.73) monthly. It was the first television platform in Africa Africa is the world's second-largest and second-most populous continent, after Asia in both cases. Ebute Metta is a neighbourhood of Lagos Mainland, Lagos, in Lagos State, Nigeria. History Ebute Metta is known for the production and sale of local food and cloths. It is a very old part of Lagos State, many of its houses were built during the colonial era using Brazilian architecture. Pre-colonial history Ebute Metta is part of the Awori Kingdom of Otto. Satellite television is a service that delivers television programming to viewers by relaying it from a communications satellite orbiting the Earth directly to the viewer's location. The signals are received via an outdoor parabolic antenna commonly referred to as a satellite dish and a low-noise block downconverter.
