Conor Heun
Conor Heun (born February 11, 1979) is a retired American mixed martial artist. A professional from 2006 until 2012, he competed for Strikeforce, EliteXC, and the Los Angeles Anacondas of the International Fight League. Mixed martial arts career EliteXC Heun made his Television debut on a ShoXC card against Marlon Mathias. Mathais broke Heun's jaw a minute and a half into the first round with a knee, but Heun kept fighting and won the close fight via majority decision. His next fight was a second-round TKO stoppage of James Edson Berto. Strikeforce Heun made his Strikeforce debut against former UFC fighter Jorge Gurgel on a ShoMMA card in June 2009. Heinrich Clauren
Carl Gottlieb Samuel Heun (20 March 1771 – 2 August 1854), better known by his pen name Heinrich Clauren, was a German author. Biography Born on 20 March 1771 in Doberlug, Lower Lusatia. Heun went into the Prussian civil service, and wrote in his spare time. He published under the pseudonym H. Clauren (an anagram of Carl Heun), and became one of the most popular authors of fiction for the middle class in the first half of the nineteenth century. In 1825, Wilhelm Hauff published a parody of Heun's novels, ('The Man in the Moon'), imitating his style, and published under his pen name H. Clauren. Heun brought a lawsuit against Hauff, and won, leading Hauff to write another book, (1826), successfully destroying the reputation of Heun's works. The following year Carl Herloßsohn also parodied Clauren by publishing a novel in Clauren's name, (1827) and mocked Clauren's plays in his (1827). Dustin Heun (born 11 April 1984) is a German former professional footballer who played as a forward. Dustin's father, Dirk Heun, was also a professional footballer and made 10 appearances in the Bundesliga. Playing career Heun, whose father Dirk Heun was active as a professional footballer for Tennis Borussia Berlin and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, was born in Duisburg. He started his professional career with KFC Uerdingen 05. In his first Regionalliga season in 2002–03 he scored two goals in seven games. After two more years at the KFC and 14 goals in 57 games, he moved to the 2. Bundesliga club Eintracht Braunschweig after KFC was relegated. thumd, 250px Karl Heun (; 3 April 1859, Wiesbaden – 10 January 1929, Karlsruhe) was a German mathematician who introduced Heun's equation, Heun functions, and Heun's method. Karl Heun studied mathematics and philosophy in Göttingen (and briefly in Halle). In 1881, with the dissertation ''Die Kugelfunktionen und Laméschen Funktionen als Determinanten'' he received his doctorate under Schering at the University of Göttingen. He then worked as a teacher at an agricultural college in Wehlau, until in 1883 he emigrated to England where he taught until 1885 in Uppingham. Heun, Nebraska
Heun is an unincorporated community in Colfax County, Nebraska, United States. History Heun was named for its founder, William Heun, a native of Germany. The local cemetery has been in use since 1871. In 1878, Heun and native Czech John Fulda each donated five acres of land to build Holy Trinity Catholic Church and a consecrated burial ground. The church was rebuilt into a second brick church, the first Mass in which was held in 1928. As of 2016, the church is still active with 200 parishioners. At times it also had a social hall which is no longer standing.
