Hero Of Labour Of Kazakhstan
Hero of Labour of Kazakhstan () is one of the highest titles of Kazakhstan, awarded for notable achievements in the economic and social development of the country. Recipients of the award are also awarded the Order of Otan. The award was established on 1 December 2008 and first awarded on 16 December 2008 after a presidential decree on 5 December. Not to be confused with the Order Labor Glory, it is the successor of the Soviet title Hero of Socialist Labour and the civil variant of the Hero of Kazakhstan award. Description of the medallion The medallion of the award consists of a seven-pointed star with a wreath of wheat in the center surrounding an image of an open book in the background, with a computer in front of the left page and a ladle pouring molten metal in front of the right page engraved on the obverse side. Hero Of Kazakhstan
The title of People's Hero of Kazakhstan () is the highest distinction conferred by the Republic of Kazakhstan, along with the Order of the Golden Eagle. Overview According to the Law on State Awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the honor would be bestowed on Kazakhstanis and foreigners who have performed extraordinary service to the Republic, or for exemplary military or civil exploits done in the name of its independence or freedom. Individuals who are granted the title also receive the Order of the Fatherland (''Otan''). People's Hero is the country's highest award, equaled only by the Order of the Golden Eagle. Those conferred with the title are awarded a special distinction – a gilded medal in the form of a seven-rayed star, with colorless Zirconium stones set between its rays. The Order of Otan ( Kazakh: ''Отан ордені'', trans. ''Otan ordeni'', ''Order of the Fatherland'') is one of the highest orders of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Hero of Socialist Labour () was an Title of honor, honorific title in the Soviet Union and other Warsaw Pact countries from 1938 to 1991. It represented the highest degree of distinction in the USSR and was awarded for exceptional achievements in Soviet industry and culture. It provided a similar status to the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, which was awarded for heroic deeds, but differed in that it was not awarded to foreign citizens. Nursultan Abishuly Nazarbayev (born 6 July 1940) is a Kazakhstani politician who served as the first president of Kazakhstan from 1991 to 2019. Sergey Alexandrovich Tereshchenko (; 30 March 1951 – 10 February 2023) was a Kazakhstani politician. He served as the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan from 1991 to 1994 and later as the acting chairman of Otan from 1999 to 2002. Olzhas Omaruly Suleimenov (, ''Oljas Omarūly Süleimenov''; , ''Olzhas Omarovich Suleymenov'') is a Kazakh Russian-language poet, Turkologist, politician, and anti-nuclear activist. Zhaqsylyq Üshkempirov
Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov (; 6 May 1951 – 2 August 2020) was a light-flyweight Greco-Roman wrestler from Kazakhstan. He won an Olympic gold medal in 1980 and a world title in 1981. Ushkempirov took up wrestling in 1969 and won the Soviet title in 1975 and 1980. After retiring from competitions he worked as director of a sports school in Almaty in 1984–1993. In 1993 he founded the sports club Zhaksylyk and served as its president. Since 2001, an annual junior wrestling tournament has been held in Almaty in his honor. Memory In 2019, a feature film "Zhaksylyk" (Kazakhstan) was shot about the life of Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov. Ushkempirov was played by Elnar Nazarkul and Sanurzhan Suleimenov in his youth and adolescence, and the role of a 60-year-old athlete was played by Doszhan Zhanbotaev.
