Hernán Bedoya
Hernán Bedoya was a Colombian land rights activist who fought corporate farmland encroachment. He was shot dead on December 8, 2017 in Chocó Department. Personal life Bedoya grew up in the region of Chocó, Colombia Colombia, officially the Republic of Colombia, is a country primarily located in South America with Insular region of Colombia, insular regions in North America. Chocó Department
Chocó Department () is a department of the Pacific region of Colombia known for hosting the largest Afro-Colombian population in the nation, and a large population of Amerindian and mixed African-Amerindian Colombians. It is in the west of the country, and is the only Colombian department to have coastlines on both the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. It contains all of Colombia's border with Panama. Its capital is Quibdó. Clan Del Golfo
The Clan del Golfo (English: The Gulf Clan), also known as Gaitanist Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia – AGC) or Gaitanist Army of Colombia (Ejército Gaitanista de Colombia– EGC) and formerly called Los Urabeños and Clan Úsuga, is a prominent right-wing Colombian neo-paramilitary group and currently the country's largest drug cartel.
