Phil Hermanson (born February 28, 1965) is a former member of the Kansas House of Representatives for District 96 (2008-2012) and 98 (SeKansas Redistricting 2012, serving from 2008 to 2012. He is a Republican. His districts included southwest Wichita, Kansas. He resigned in 2013. Early life, education, and career Hermanson is a lifelong resident of Wichita, Kansas. After graduating Goddard High School, five miles from Wichita, Kansas, he joined the United States Navy and served as a deep sea diver from 1983 to 1990. Dustin Michael Hermanson (born December 21, 1972) is an American former right-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). Hermanson pitched for several MLB teams between 1995 and 2006. He had his best season with the 2005 Chicago White Sox team that won the World Series; he had 34 saves that year before sustaining a season-ending back injury in September. Early life Hermanson was born in Springfield, Ohio, and he attended Kenton Ridge High School in Springfield. He played three seasons of college baseball for Kent State, where his fastball increased in speed from 88 mph to 96 mph. He was a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award in 1994. He was selected in the first round of the 1994 Major League Baseball Draft with the third overall selection by the San Diego Padres. Elwin Norris Hermanson (born August 22, 1952) was a Canadian politician, best known for being the first full-time leader of the Saskatchewan Party. In 1993 he was elected as a Reform Member of Parliament in the Saskatchewan riding of Kindersley—Lloydminster. He was the Reform Party House Leader from 1993 until 1995. Due to redistribution his hometown was located in the new constituency of Saskatoon—Rosetown—Biggar for the 1997 election. He ran against fellow incumbent Chris Axworthy of the New Democratic Party for the new seat and lost. Hermanson sought the leadership of the newly founded Saskatchewan Party in 1998, and defeated Rod Gantefoer and Yogi Huyghebaert in a one member one vote election. Albert Hermanson
Herman Peter Albert Hermanson (April 15, 1881 – December 2, 1960) was a Swedish-born Canadian farmer and provincial politician. He was elected as the Liberal candidate to the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for the riding of Canora in 1917 and 1921. Hermanson was born in Håsjö, Jämtland, the son of Herman Hermanson, and moved to Minnesota, coming to what is now Saskatchewan in 1903 and settling on a homestead near Buchanan. The remainder of his family came to Saskatchewan from Sweden in 1904. In 1906, Hermanson became a member of the council for Local Improvement District #304 and, in 1907, became secretary-treasurer for the local school district. He married Ruby Harmer in 1909. In 1910, Hermanson left his farm and moved to Buchanan. He moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1925 where he was manager of the Swedish American Line until 1936.
