Herman Nieweg
Herman Nieweg (April 13, 1932 in Steenwijkerwold – May 28, 1999 in Portugal) was a Dutch sculptor and ceramist. Life and work Nieweg studied interior design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. His teacher Frieda Koch brought him into contact with ceramics. As an artist Nieweg is autodidact. From the 1960s to the 1980s Nieweg lived and worked in Giethoorn, where he ran his own pottery studio.De Kampioen'' March 1963. Nr. 3. p. 140. In the 1990s he moved to Monchique in Portugal, where he built several large ovens. He died a few years later at the age of 67. Much of Nieweg's work was done in ceramics, examples are the reliefs he made for Zwolle and Heino. Assen () is a municipality and a city in the northeastern Netherlands, and is the capital of the province of Drenthe. It received city rights in 1809. Assen is known for TT Circuit Assen, the motorcycle racing circuit, where on the last Sunday in June the Dutch TT is run; and also for the annual Assen Dance Festival. Heino
Heinz Georg Kramm (born 13 December 1938), known professionally as Heino, is a German singer of Schlager music, Schlager and traditional Volksmusik. Having sold a total of over 50 million records, he is one of the most successful German musicians of all time. Heino is known for his baritone voice and trademark combination of light blond hair and dark sunglasses (which he wears due to exophthalmos). He lives in the town of Bad Münstereifel, where he owned a café until June 2012. His interest in music started when his mother gave him an accordion in 1948, although his family could barely afford it. Early life Heino was born on 13 December 1938 in Düsseldorf-Oberbilk, Germany, to Heinrich and Franziska Kramm. His father was a Catholic Church, Roman Catholic dentist, his mother a Protestant. Steenwijkerwold
Steenwijkerwold is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Steenwijkerland, about 5 km northwest of Steenwijk. Steenwijkerwold was a separate municipality until 1973, when it became a part of Steenwijk. History It was first mentioned in 1376 as Steenwickerwolde, and means forest near Steenwijk. It developed when Kerkbuurt, Gendringen en Thij, three '' esdorp'' villages, merged. In 1401, a church was built, and the village became independent from the neighbouring city in 1543. The Dutch Reformed Church dates from the 15th century. In 1840, it was home to 1,369 people. The dolmen (megalithic tomb) O1 used to be located in Steenwijkerwold. In 1781, it was in good condition and probably had 6 capstones. In the 1840s, it was thoroughly removed. Zwolle
Zwolle () is a city and municipality in the Northeastern Netherlands. It is the capital of the province of Overijssel and the province's second-largest municipality after Enschede with a population of 130,592 as of 1 December 2021.
