Heretic (Morbid Angel Album)
''Heretic'' is the seventh studio album by the Florida death metal band Morbid Angel. This would be their last under Earache Records, as the band decided not to renew its contract, and also the last to feature Pete Sandoval and with Steve Tucker until his return on 2017's ''Kingdoms Disdained''. The album was recorded at Diet of Worms Studios by Juan Gonzalez. ''Heretic'' is the band's first album not recorded at Morrisound Recording. The second track, "Enshrined by Grace", is featured on ''The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'' soundtrack. It also had a music video which received airplay in the months following the album release. Nile vocalist/guitarist Karl Sanders, played the outro guitar solo of "God of Our Own Divinity". MTV News
MTV News was the news production division of MTV. The service was available in the US with localized versions on MTV's global network and an online news team. In 2016, MTV refreshed the MTV News brand to compete with the likes of BuzzFeed and ''Vice'', but by mid-2017 MTV News was significantly downsized due to cutbacks. Picture Disc
Picture discs are gramophone record, gramophone (phonograph) records that show images on their playing surface, rather than being of plain black or colored vinyl. Collectors traditionally reserve the term picture disc for records with graphics that extend at least partly into the actual playable grooved area, distinguishing them from picture label discs, which have a specially illustrated and sometimes very large label, and picture back discs, which are illustrated on one unplayable side only. The twelve-inch single (often written as 12-inch or 12) is a type of vinyl (polyvinyl chloride or PVC) gramophone record that has wider groove spacing and shorter playing time with a "single" or a few related sound tracks on each surface, compared to LPs (long play) which have several songs on each side. It is named for its diameter that was intended for LPs. This technical adaptation allows for louder levels to be cut on the disc by the mastering engineer, which in turn gives a wider dynamic range, and thus better sound quality. Karl Sanders
Karl Sanders (born June 5, 1963) is an American vocalist and guitarist who is a founding member of the technical death metal band Nile (band), Nile. Early life Sanders started playing guitar when he was nine years old. Before creating Nile, Sanders was in a thrash metal band during the late 1980s called Morriah and played local shows with the young Morbid Angel and other US death metal bands. He said, "The 80s were a lot of fun. It was a time where everybody had disposable income so everybody was always going out. There were half a dozen places to play in my home town. You could have quite the life playing four nights a week, even as a cover band, but after a while we wanted to write our own songs." Morrisound Recording (also Morrisound Studios) is an audio recording facility in Tampa, Florida, United States, owned and operated by brothers Jim and Tom Morris. Since its opening in 1981, Morrisound has been responsible for the popularization of death metal, but caters to other genres.
