Sir Herbert Geraint Williams, 1st Baronet, (2 December 1884 – 25 July 1954) was a British politician and Conservative Member of Parliament (MP). Biography Herbert Williams was born in Hooton, Cheshire, on 2 December 1884. He was educated at Liverpool University with degrees in science and engineering. In 1911 he became secretary and manager of the Machine Tools Trade Association. He served on Wimbledon Borough Council. Williams contested the Combined English Universities in 1918 and Wednesbury in 1922 and 1923 without success. From 1924 to 1929, Williams was MP for Reading and served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade. He was a member of the first Court of the University of Reading following its receipt of a Royal Charter in 1926. Williams was returned to Parliament in Croydon South in a by-election in February 1932. He was comfortably re-elected in 1935 and served through the war. Sir Herbert Lloyd Watkin Williams-Wynn, 7th Baronet, (1860–1944) was a Welsh politician and Yeomanry officer. Early life Williams-Wynn was born on 6 June 1860, the second (and eldest surviving) son of Colonel Herbert Watkin Williams-Wynn, MP, (1822–62). Herbert William Williams (10 October 1860 – 7 December 1937) was the 6th Anglican Bishop of Waiapu and a distinguished Māori scholar. Williams was born at Waerenga-ā-Hika, Gisborne, New Zealand, the son of Sarah Williams and Leonard Williams. He was educated at Christ's College, Christchurch, The University of New Zealand and Jesus College, Cambridge; graduating Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1884. He was ordained in 1886, then embarked on his ecclesiastical career with a curacy at West Wratting, Cambridge diocese, Ely from 1886-1888. Williams served as the interim head coach and the assistant coach of the NBA's New York Knicks. He was last an assistant coach for the New York Liberty of the WNBA.
