Herbert Urlacher
Herbert Urlacher (December 30, 1931 – October 29, 2023) was an American politician who was a member of the North Dakota State Senate. He represented the 36th district from 1993 to 2008 as a member of the Republican party. He also sat in the North Dakota House of Representatives from 1989 to 1992. He was an alumnus of the University of North Dakota. He was a farmer and rancher. New England is a city in Hettinger County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 683 at the 2020 census. New England was founded in 1887, predating all other settlements in Hettinger County by many years. The name recognizes that many early settlers were from the New England states of Vermont and Massachusetts. Until the tracks were abandoned in 1983, the city was located at the terminus of a Milwaukee Road branch line that split from the railroad's Pacific Extension in McLaughlin, South Dakota. The University of North Dakota (UND) is a Public university, public research university in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States.
