Herbert Rahmann
Herbert Rahmann (23 August 1886 – 12 October 1957) was an Australian cricketer. He played in one first-class match for Queensland in 1924/25, and played for University in Brisbane Grade Cricket from 1921 to 1926. In his career he was a teacher and went on to train teachers and served as Inspector of Schools for Queensland. Education and early career Rahmann attended a School of Arts in Maryborough and in 1899 he won a certificate for academic merit in physics. In 1900 he graduated primary school and received a scholarship to study at any Grammar School in Queensland free of charge, and he enrolled in Maryborough Boys Grammar School, receiving a medal for arithmetic in 1902. As of 1907 he had graduated and become an assistant teacher working on probation at Irvinebank State School, and in 1911 he was admitted to the Department of Public Instruction as a full teacher. Maryborough ( ) is a city and a Suburbs and localities (Australia), suburb in the Fraser Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , the suburb of Maryborough had a population of 15,287 people. Norman Beeston
Norman Beeston (29 September 1900 – 4 February 1985) was an Australian cricketer. He played in seven first-class matches for Queensland between 1924 and 1928. Cricket career Beeston played for South Brisbane in Brisbane Grade Cricket and was receiving praise for his batting in the press in January 1923. He was selected in a trial cricket match to select the Queensland state team in November 1923, and in November 1924 some expressed frustration that Beeston had not been selected to represent the Queensland state side. Francis Cecil Thompson (17 August 1890 – 24 September 1963) was an Australian first-class cricketer who played for Queensland cricket team, Queensland from 1912 to 1933. Manly State School
Manly State School is a public co-educational primary school located in the Brisbane suburb of Manly, Queensland, Australia. It is administered by the Queensland Department of Education, with an enrolment of 671 students and a teaching staff of 48, as of 2023. The school serves students from Prep to Year 6. It was placed on the Brisbane Heritage Register as a Local Heritage Place on 1 January 2004 due to providing education to children within the region since the 1910s.
