Henry Wiles (sculptor)
Henry Wiles (born March 11, 1984) is an American Flat Track racer from the United States who has competed in the championship since 2003, winning the Peoria TT event a record 14 times in a row, 2004 through 2018. He is married to Kristen Overfield (Wiles) as of October 2019 American Flat Track Wiles began racing in the American Flat Track Series (then known as AMA Pro Flat Track) in 2003. That year he finished seventh at the Peoria TT. Starting in 2004, he won the event every year it took place (it was rained out in 2007) for 14 consecutive victories through 2018, beating Chris Carr's record of 13 (non-consecutive) wins overall at the historic track. Due to injury, Wiles missed the event in 2019 (won by Briar Bauman) bringing his streak to an end. The Kawasaki Ninja 650R, also called ER-6f or EХ-6, is a motorcycle in the Kawasaki Ninja, Ninja series from the Japanese manufacturer Kawasaki Motors sold since 2006. In 2012, the R suffix was dropped from its name. It is a middleweight, Straight-twin engine, parallel-twin engined motorcycle, designed for normal use on paved roads. They have modern styling and features, with low-seating ergonomics and a low center of mass, center of gravity. The engine has a 180° crankshaft, resulting in an Big-bang firing order, uneven firing interval of 180° and 540°. The 650R and its naked bike, naked sibling, the ER-6n, were introduced in 2006. The naked ER-6n was not sold in North America until the 2009 model year. AMA Grand National Championship
American Flat Track is an American motorcycle racing series. The racing series, founded and sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) in 1954, originally encompassed five distinct forms of competitions including mile dirt track races, half-mile, short-track, TT steeplechase and road races. The championship was the premier motorcycle racing series in the United States from the 1950s up until the late 1970s. Following the 2016 season, AMA Pro Racing, the sanctioning body of the series, announced a restructured class system as well as a re-envisioning of the event format. Chris Carr (motorcyclist)
Chris Carr (born May 6, 1967 in Stockton, California) is an American motorcycle dirt-track racer and seven-time winner of the A.M.A. Grand National Championship. He has also competed as a motorcycle road racer at the national level and was a motorcycle land speed world record holder. Racing career Carr began his racing career as an amateur racer in 1983. He turned professional in 1985, finishing seventh in the Grand National Championship earning him the A.M.A. Rookie of the Year Award. Carr won his first Grand National in August 1986 at the Peoria TT and finished the season ranked fourth in the championship. He slowly climbed the points standing each year. In 1989, he became a member of the Harley-Davidson factory racing team. After finishing second to his Harley-Davidson teammate, Scott Parker in 1990 and 1991, he finally claimed the Grand National Championship in 1992. X Games Harley-Davidson Flat-Track racing was an event for the ESPN Summer X Games held in Austin, Texas, first held on June 4, 2015. Flat-Track racing will return to X Games for 2016 in Austin on Thursday, June 2, 2016.
