Henry Purdy (rugby Union)
Henry Purdy (born 21 May 1994) is an English professional rugby union footballer who currently plays for SU Agen, Agen in the French Pro D2. He plays as a Rugby union positions#12. & 13. Centre, centre or Rugby union positions#14. & 11. Wing, wing. Purdy signed for Gloucester Rugby for the 2014–2015 season after previously spending three years at the Leicester Tigers academy. An injury to Henry Trinder at the beginning of the season allowed Purdy extra game-time in Trinders position at outside centre. He made his Gloucester debut against the Exeter Chiefs. On 2 August 2019, Purdy travelled to the southern hemisphere in New Zealand to join province Otago Rugby Union, Otago in the 2019 Mitre 10 Cup. He subsequently joined Coventry R.F.C., Coventry in the RFU Championship in November 2019. 2019 Mitre 10 Cup
The 2019 Mitre 10 Cup season was the fourteenth season of New Zealand's provincial rugby union competition since it turned professional in 2006. The regular season began on August 8, when Southland hosted Northland. It involved the top fourteen rugby unions of New Zealand. For sponsorship reasons, the competition was known as the Mitre 10 Cup and it was the fourth season under the lead sponsor. The winner of the Championship, Bay of Plenty was promoted to the Premiership, the seventh placed Premiership team, Counties Manukau was relegated to the Championship.
