Henry Ninio
Henry Jacques Ninio (born 27 October 1935) is an Egyptian-born Australian politician who served as the 75th Lord Mayor of the City of Adelaide, South Australia. Ninio was born in Cairo on 27 October 1935. He migrated with his family to Adelaide in 1956. He completed his university pharmacy studies in Adelaide. He established the Piaf Perfumery chain and Simes Australia with his business partner Alex Siros. He served as Councillor in Gray ward on the Adelaide City Council and then Alderman before being elected Lord Mayor in 1993. He also served as the president of Beit Shalom Synagogue in 1983. The French Government has honoured him for his services to perfumery and the French community of Australia. He has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Steve Condous
Steven George Condous (10 December 1935 – 22 June 2018) was an Australian politician. From 1987 to 1993, he was the Lord Mayor of Adelaide before retiring to stand for state government. He was a Liberal Party member of the South Australian House of Assembly between 1993 and 2002, representing the electorate of Colton. Condous was very active in local community causes including community clubs and sporting clubs. Condous did not re-contest his seat in the 2002 election, which was subsequently won by Labor candidate Paul Caica Paul Caica (born 1957) is an Australian politician, representing the South Australian Branch of the Australian Labor Party. Jane Diane Lomax-Smith, AM (born 19 June 1950, in the United Kingdom) is an Australian politician and histopathologist who has been the Lord Mayor of the City of Adelaide since 14 November 2022. She was previously in local government for nine years (1991 to 2000), as a councillor for three terms and Lord Mayor of Adelaide for two terms (1997 to 2000). She was elected to the South Australian House of Assembly seat of Adelaide representing the Labor Party from 2002 to 2010, and throughout this time was a Minister of Education and Tourism and a range of other portfolios. In 2010–2011, she was the Interim Director of the Royal Institution of Australia (RiAus). Since 2011, she has been the chair of the Board of the South Australian Museum.
