Henry Lesur
Henry Lesur (8 September 1875 – 5 July 1955) was a French football pioneer who was the founding president of RC Roubaix in 1895. Early and personal life Henry Lesur was born in Lille on 8 September 1875, as the son of Caroline Marie-Henriette Bernard (1847–1901) and Henry Lesur (1845–1903), a judge in Saint-Omer, Public Prosecutor in Montreuil-sur-Mer. On 2 March 1903, the 27-year-old Lesur married Paule Froment (1882–1975) in Haute-Garonne, and the couple had six children, Jean Marie (1904–1966), Michel (1906–1957), Françoise (1907–1926), André Marie (1911–1996), Roger Marie (1913–1971), and Guy Lesur (1921–2004). 1902 USFSA Football Championship
The 1902 USFSA Football Championship was the 9th staging of the USFSA Football Championship. The tournament was held on the road between 13 and 20 April 1902. This edition was contested by the four clubs who won their regional championship and it was played in a knock-out format, with only three games played (two semi-finals and a final). RC Roubaix, champion of the North, won the title by winning the final against Racing Club de France, champion of Paris, by scoring the winning goal in the sixth extra-time, after nearly three hours of play. USFSA Football Northern Championship
The USFSA Football Northern Championship was a French football competition, contested annually between 1898 and 1914 and organized by the Northern Committee of the Union of French Athletic Sports Societies (USFSA), which brought together clubs from the Nord and Pas-de-Calais departments. From 1899 onwards, the winner of this regional competition qualified for the USFSA Football Championship, where the northern clubs competed with the Parisian clubs, becoming French champion seven times, including five from RC Roubaix, and one each from both US Tourquennoise and Olympique lillois.
