Henrik Windstedt
Per Henrik Peter Windstedt (born 8 September 1983) is a Swedish big mountain skier who has excelled at many aspects of skiing. He was one of Sweden's top Mogul skiing, moguls competitors as a junior, and has made big air and superpipe podiums. He won the 2008 Freeride World Tour. Career Born and raised in the ski resort of Åre, Sweden, Windstedt started skiing regularly at an early age, coached by his father Peter, a high-level ski instructor. Windstedt made the National Mogul Team in 1999. He won the Junior World Mogul Championships in 2002 and competed in alpine ski racing for 11 seasons. He won the 2005 Men's Moguls FIS event at Winter Park, USA and it would be in freestyle skiing, freestyle and freeskiing he would make his biggest impact. At age 16, he won King of the Hill in Riksgränsen, Sweden. In 1998, aged 17, he entered his first Big Air event and in 2000 won a Red Bull Big Air in Åre. Freestyle skiing is a skiing discipline comprising aerials, Mogul Skiing, moguls, Ski Cross, cross, Half-pipe skiing, half-pipe, slopestyle and big air as part of the Freestyle skiing at the Winter Olympics, Winter Olympics. The International Ski and Snowboard Federation, also known as FIS (), is the highest international governing body for skiing and snowboarding. It was previously known as the International Ski Federation () until 26 May 2022 when the name was changed to include snowboard. Jon Anders Olsson (born 17 August 1982) is a former professional freeskier and alpine ski racer from Sweden. Born in Mora, Olsson started his career as a ski racer but at age 16 he switched his race skis for twin tips and quit ski racing. Eight years later, after a 50 000 SEK (US$5826.22) bet with fellow skier Jens Byggmark, Olsson started ski racing again with the goal of the bets being to make it to the Olympics in 2014. He now competes in both freestyle and ski racing. Olsson is known for his invention of several new double flips, including a D-spin 720 into a flatspin 540 (DJ flip), a switch double rodeo 1080 (hexo flip), a double flatspin 900 (kangaroo flip), and a switch cork 720 to flatspin 540 (the tornado). Slopestyle
Slopestyle is a winter sport in which athletes skiing, ski or snowboard down a course including a variety of obstacles including rails, jumps and other terrain park features. Points are scored for amplitude, originality and quality of tricks. The discipline has its roots in action sports like skateboarding and BMX and has very successfully crossed over into the snow sports worlds of skiing and snowboarding. Skiers use Twin-tip skis for their symmetry since they often go large portions of the course backward (referred to as "switch") and for their balanced weight so as to not destabilize spins. Freeride World Tour
The Freeride World Tour, also referred to as the FWT Pro or simply the FWT, is an annual series of events in which freeride skiers and snowboarders compete for individual event wins, as well as the overall title of Freeride World Champion in their respective genders and disciplines. The events take place on off-piste terrain – ungroomed snow on steep slopes, often featuring areas of high exposure. The Freeride World Tour was founded in 1996 as the Verbier Extreme, and was a snowboard only contest until 2004. The first event series under the Freeride World Tour name took place in 2008. Thomas James "TJ" Schiller (born October 17, 1986) is a Canadian freestyle skier. Schiller combines amplitude with style and is best known for his signature switch 1080 mute grab. During Winter X Games XIV, Schiller became the first person to land a double cork 1620 (four and a half rotations with two flips).
