Henriette Arasse
Henriette Arasse (14th arrondissement, 25 February 1912 – 17th arrondissement, 29 January 2003) was a French art critic and teacher. She was also mother of the art historian, Daniel Arasse. Biography Daughter of Albert Lavergne, a soldier, Henriette Lavergne began an academic career. In 1934, she was accepted into the École normale supérieure (Paris), École normale supérieure as part of the literary promotion. She was one of the forty-one graduates of the École Normale Supérieure who passed the exam before it became reserved for men in 1940. In 1938, she was admitted to the :fr:agrégation de lettres, agrégation de lettres, the nineteenth, and is appointed teacher in Literary preparatory class, literary preparatory classes at the :fr:Lycée Molière (Paris), Lycée Molière alongside :fr:Suzanne Rey, Suzanne Rey. The 14th arrondissement of Paris ( ), officially named ''arrondissement de l'Observatoire'' (; meaning "arrondissement of the Observatory"; named after the Paris Observatory), is one of the 20 Arrondissements of Paris, arrondissements of Paris, the capital city of France.
