Hendrik Vermeulen
Hendrik Meyer-Vermeulen (born ''Hendrik Mentz Vermeulen'', 7 April 1982) is a South African Couturier and fashion designer, specialising in Haute Couture and Corsetry as well as a singer-songwriter performing under stage name Joh Urban. In 2009 Hendrik Vermeulen launches his label Hendrik Vermeulen Couture having previously worked as fashion designer and chef d’atelier for renowned South African Couturiers, such as Gert van de Merwe. In 2012, he legalises his business by creating his own company: Hendrik Vermeulen Couture Pty Ltd in the city of Cape Town, South Africa. He took charges of the creative and financial side of the business as Creative Director and placed his husband Jean-Daniel Meyer-Vermeulen at the head of the company as General Manager. The company opens its first flagship boutique across the famous Heritage Square in the City Centre of Cape Town the following year in 2013. Fauresmith, Free State Province
Fauresmith is located 130 km south west of Bloemfontein, South Africa. The town, named after Rev Phillip Faure and Sir Harry Smith, is the second oldest town in the Free State. Fauresmith is the only town in South Africa, and one of only three in the world, where the railway line runs down the centre of the main road. The town is well known in equestrian circles for the annual National Equestrian Endurance Race, during which the horses and riders must complete a grueling 205 km course during the three days of the event. Corsetry
A corsetmaker is a specialist tailor who makes corsets. Corsetmakers are frequently known by the French equivalent terms corsetier (male) and corsetière (female). Hanli Prinsloo is a South African freediver, speaker, writer and ocean conservationist. She is the founder and executive director of I Am Water, an ocean conservation trust dedicated to conserving and protecting the world's oceans through human experience.
