Rabindra Mishra () is a Nepali philanthropist, ex-journalist, writer, poet, and politician. Currently, Mishra is the Senior Vice-chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, after having resigned as a general member of Bibeksheel Sajha Party in September 2022. He earlier resigned as the national president of Bibeksheel Sajha Party in May 2022. He formerly worked as the editor-in-chief of BBC Nepali Service, and left the BBC in February 2017 to enter Nepalese politics. Mishra is also the founder of the global charity, Help Nepal Network, which has chapters in 14 countries and is run entirely by volunteers. Education Mishra received his Master's Degree in English Literature from Tribhuvan University. He then went to University of the Punjab, Pakistan, earning a Master's Degree in journalism. Rastriya Prajatantra Party
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (; ; , ()) is a monarchist, constitutional monarchist and Hindu nationalist List of political parties in Nepal, political party in Nepal. ''The World Today'' was an early morning news and current affairs radio programme on the BBC World Service, launched in 1999, and broadcast from 3:00 to 8:30 (GMT) daily as of 2011. It consisted of news bulletins on the hour and half-hour, serious international interviews and in-depth reports of world news. The World Service considered it one of their most important strands, and in 2009 the programme won the News and Current Affairs Award at the Sony Radio Academy Awards. Bibeksheel Nepali Dal (विवेकशील नेपाली दल) is a political party in Nepal. The name ''"Bibeksheel"'' translates to "common sense wisdom". When the first Constitutional Assembly was dissolved, it organized a recurring session called "What Next?" (अब के गर्ने?). History In 2013 Ujwal Thapa, the ex-chairperson of Bibeksheel Nepali ran as an independent candidate in the second Constitutional Assembly election, which was held on November 19, 2013. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (, RSP; , NIP) is a Centrism, centrist political party in Nepal. The party was running as a coalition partner in Dahal cabinet, 2022, Prachanda-led government with four cabinet ministries from 6 March 2024 to 12 July 2024. 2017 Nepalese Legislative Election
General elections were held in Nepal in two phases on 26 November and 7 December 2017 to elect the 275 members of the fifth House of Representatives, the lower house of the Federal Parliament of Nepal. The election was held alongside the first provincial elections for the seven provincial assemblies. A political deadlock between the governing Nepali Congress and the winning left-wing coalition over the system used to elect the upper house led to delay in forming the new government. Prakash Man Singh () is a Nepalese politician and a leader of the Nepali Congress and current Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal. He is the son of Nepali politician Ganesh Man Singh.
