Hello Destiny
''Hello Destiny...'' is the sixth album by American punk band Goldfinger, released on April 22, 2008, as their only album released through SideOneDummy Records. This album marks the return of guitarist Charlie Paulson, and at the same time is the last to feature Paulson (before his return in 2019), bassist Kelly LeMieux, and drummer Darrin Pfeiffer. Background and release In January 2007, Goldfinger were finishing up their new album, which they were expecting to release in mid-2007. On April 30, 2007, "Free Kevin Kjonaas" was posted on the band's Myspace profile. Following this, they appeared at the Wakestock festival in Canada. On December 22, 2007, ''Hello Destiny...'' was announced for release in four months' time. On January 2, 2008, a track titled "One More Time" was posted on the band's Myspace profile. Bert McCracken
Robert Edward McCracken (born February 25, 1982) is an American singer who is the lead vocalist and songwriter of the rock band the Used. Early life McCracken was born in Provo, Utah, and grew up in Orem, Utah. He was raised in a Mormon family with three sisters (Katie, Melanie, Rachel) and one younger brother (Joseph Taylor). McCracken has stated that he read quite voraciously growing up, due to the influence of his mother, who was a schoolteacher. At age 12, he started playing the trumpet in a local band called "I'm With Stupid". He attended Timpanogos High School for a brief time, before dropping out at 16. Eldest son of the household, Bert enjoyed a happy home life as a child, but as he grew into a teenager his and his parents' views conflicted. Ray Cappo, also known as Raghunath Das, is an American punk rock musician best known as the vocalist for the bands Youth of Today and Shelter (band), Shelter and as founder of the independent record label, independent record labels Revelation Records and Equal Vision Records. Originally from Connecticut, Cappo played drums for the band Violent Children. Before moving to New York City in the 1980s, Youth of Today had already made an impact on the straight edge hardcore punk scene. Josephine Collective was an emo pop band from Johnson County, Kansas. In 2006, the band, formerly known as Josephine and, previously, Josephine Love Letter, was officially named Josephine Collective. The band signed to Warner Bros. Records after John Feldmann had been introduced to their music via Myspace and invited them to open for his band, Goldfinger. Reel Big Fish is an American ska punk band from Huntington Beach, California. The band gained mainstream recognition in the mid-to-late 1990s during the third wave of ska with the release of the gold-certified album '' Turn the Radio Off''. Darrin Pfeiffer
Darrin Michael Pfeiffer (born June 7, 1969) is an American musician, record producer, band manager and radio personality. He has played drums in the pop punk bands Goldfinger, Sum 41, and The Salads. Biography Pfeiffer was born in Akron, New York. He began his music career in the mid 1980s, when, as a teen, he was a part of a thrash metal band called ''Beyond Death''. The band's two other members went on to found the death metal band Cannibal Corpse in 1988. In 1994, Pfeiffer became a founding member and drummer of Goldfinger. He married Vicky Anderson, the band's Canadian publicist, in 1998. (Anderson left Universal Music in 1998. The couple divorced in 2011). Kelly Thomas LeMieux (born April 7, 1967) is an American bass player. He is known for being the bassist of the band Goldfinger and his work in the Dave Mustaine project MD.45. He was the touring bass player for Los Angeles punk band Fear in 1997 and 1998. He has toured with Paul Gilbert and appeared on Gilbert's album ''Vibrato'', was a founding member of the Electric Love Hogs, a member of Shrine and 22 Jacks. LeMieux played in Goldfinger until 2014 and is a guest instructor for the Portland chapter of the School of Rock. He was also an instructor for Paul Gilbert's Great Guitar Escape. He has also recorded with Steeve Estatof, the 2004 ''French Idol'' winner. Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC) was an international animal rights campaign to close down Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), Europe's largest contract animal-testing laboratory. HLS tested medical and non-medical substances on around 75,000 animals every year, from rats to primates. It had been the subject of several major leaks or undercover investigations by activists and reporters since 1989. SHAC was started by three British animal rights activists— Greg Avery, Heather James, and Natasha Dellemagne—after video footage supposed to have been shot covertly inside HLS in 1997 by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) showed HLS staff shaking, punching, and shouting at beagles in their care.
