Hellerud was a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway up to January 1, 2004, when it became part of the new borough of Alna. It is also a traditional neighbourhood located within this area to the south of Tveita and Haugerud and north of Oppsal. Alna
Alna is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. It is named after the Alna River, River Alna, which flows through it. The borough consists of the following neighborhoods: * Alnabru * Ellingsrud * Furuset * Haugerud, Oslo, Haugerud * Hellerud * Lindeberg, Oslo, Lindeberg * Teisen * Trosterud * Tveita In the Oslo borough reform in 2004, the borough Helsfyr-Sinsen was removed, and the neighborhoods Teisen and Bryn were included in Alna. Oslo
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Haugerud, Oslo
Haugerud is a neighborhood in the borough of Alna in Oslo, Norway. Its origin was a farm of the same name. It first had a private owner in 1670. Some of the land was parceled out in the early 1900s, and the rest of the land was bought by the municipality in 1947, and built up with apartment blocks in the late 1960s. Since 1970 it's served by the station Haugerud (station), Haugerud on the Oslo Metro. The local church opened in 1975, and the neighborhood also has a shopping mall. Haugerud Church Haugerud Church is a church center, consecrated in 1966. The church belongs to the Church of Norway. The altarpiece is a tapestry by Else Marie Jakobsen. Oppsal
Oppsal is a suburb in the borough of Østensjø in Oslo, Norway. The modern history of Oppsal starts with villas and summer homes built during the Interwar period. The Oslo Tramway was extended to Oppsal in 1926. Oppsal was developed as a planned suburb after World War II, and the first apartment block was built in 1954. The suburb got its own church in 1961, and a shopping mall opened in 1964. Østmarka
Østmarka is a forested area to the east of Oslo and part of the congregation of woodland areas known as Oslomarka. The area is situated within the municipalities Oslo, Lørenskog, Rælingen, Ski and Enebakk. Østmarka is delimited to the west by populated areas of Oslo, to the north of communities of Skårer, Lørenskog and Rælingen and to the east by the lake Øyeren, to the south-east lies Enebakk and to the south-west Sørmarka, another forested area. The change from Østmarka to Sørmarka takes place at the lake Langen. Østmarka is marked by its location on top of basement rock (more than 1 billion years old) containing easy-to-see folds that make up valleys and hills in the north-south direction.
