Helge Burggrabe
Helge Burggrabe (born 17 June 1973) in Magstadt is a German composer, recorder player, stage designer and seminar leader. Life As a child, Burggrabe lived for several years in Burma (Myanmar). Later he had lessons with Hans-Jürgen Hufeisen, among others, and studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with Evi Pfefferle-Darmstadt and Peter Michael Hamel. His diploma thesis dealt with '' Die Proportionsverhältnisse und ihre Widerspiegelung in Musik und Architektur am Beispiel der Kathedrale von Chartres.'' (Proportional relationships and their reflection in music and architecture using the example of Chartres Cathedral). Since 1993, Burggrabe has performed throughout Europe with his own concert series, especially in Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. Anselm Grün (in English also: Anselm Gruen), OSB (born 14 January 1945 in , Germany) is a German Benedictine monk. He is in charge of Münsterschwarzach Abbey's financial matters, as its ''cellarer''. He has written around 300 books focused on spirituality, of which more than 15 million copies have been sold in 30 languages. He also conducts courses and lectures, and provides spiritual counseling for managers. Velbert (Low Rhenish: ''Vèlbed'') is a town in the district of Mettmann, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The town is renowned worldwide for the production of locks and fittings. Geography Velbert is located on the hills of 'Niederberg' (meaning ''Lower Mountain''), part of the Berg region, approx. 20 kilometres north-east of the capital of North Rhine Westphalia, Düsseldorf, and 12 kilometers north-west of Wuppertal on the south side of the Ruhr river. Maria, Königin des Friedens (Mary, Queen of Peace) is a pilgrimage church and parish in Neviges, part of Velbert, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The pilgrimage dates back to 1676. Neviges was the home of a Franciscan monastery from 1675 until the end of 2019. A church dedicated to the Immaculate Conception in 1728 became too small for the growing numbers of pilgrims in the 20th century. Inspired by the Second Vatican Council, Cardinal Josef Frings of Cologne was open to a radically new church building. Gottfried Böhm designed a building in brutalist style which won the cardinal's approval. It was consecrated in 1968, and also became known as the Mariendom and Wallfahrtsdom. It is the second largest church in the Diocese of Cologne, after Cologne Cathedral. It is also the second largest church north of the Alps. Arte (; (), sometimes stylized in lowercase or uppercase in its logo) is a European public service channel dedicated to culture. Claus Bantzer
Claus Bantzer (born 10 October 1942 in Marburg) is a German church musician, composer and director. Life and work Claus Bantzer was born in Marburg in 1942 into an artist's family. His older brother Christoph Bantzer is an actor. Bantzer began studying piano, organ, and conducting at the music school of the university of Frankfurt am Main. He continued his studies in Hamburg (Hochschule für Musik und Theater), where he became a master student of the organ teacher Heinz Wunderlich. He was also Wunderlich's assistant at the church St. Jacobi in Hamburg. Since 1975, Bantzer has been organist at the church of St. Johannis Harvestehude in Hamburg. Later, the honorary title of Kirchenmusikdirektor was conferred onto him. Alexander Lauterwasser (born 1951 in Überlingen) is a German researcher and photographer who based his work on work done by Ernst Chladni and Hans Jenny in the field of Cymatics. In 2002, Lauterwasser published his book ''Wasser Klang Bilder'' (Water Sound Images) with imagery of water surfaces set into motion by sound sources ranging from pure sine waves to music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Karlheinz Stockhausen and even overtone chanting. In 2006, MACROmedia Publishing published the English version of the Lauterwasser book titled ''Water Sound Images''. It is a 176-page hardcover edition with hundreds of color photos, presenting the art, science and mystical side of Cymatics. The Harvestehuder Kammerchor is a mixed choir from Hamburg, which has existed since 1980. History and repertoire The choir was founded in 1980 by Kirchenmusikdirektor and composer Claus Bantzer, who was cantor at St. Johannis Harvestehude Hamburg. The chamber choir rehearsed at this church, gave regular concerts and also played a musical role in church services. Until 2008, St. Johannis-Harvestehude was also the sponsor of the chamber choir; with Bantzer's retirement from St. Johannis, the sponsorship passed to a supporting association. The focus of the chamber choir is on the performance of experimental music that combines different eras and styles, as well as bringing music together with other arts through forms of cross-over. A ''Gesamtkunstwerk'' (, literally 'total artwork', translated as 'total work of art', 'ideal work of art', 'universal artwork', 'synthesis of the arts', 'comprehensive artwork', or 'all-embracing art form') is a work of art that makes use of all or many art forms or strives to do so.
