Helen Bennett (actress)
Helen Bennett (August 14, 1911 – February 25, 2001) was an American actress. She appeared in numerous films and TV series from the 1930s to the 1990s. Early life Bennett was born in Springfield, Missouri, in 1911. She attended the University of Missouri and was named Miss Missouri in 1937. Subsequently, she attended the acting school of the Goodman Theatre in Chicago and had a brief modeling career in New York. Career Bennett started her acting career in the late 1930s, appearing in films such as The Middleton Family at the New York World's Fair, The Royal Mounted Rides Again, Because of Him, The Scarlet Horseman, Lost City of the Jungle, Francis in the Haunted House and Step Down to Terror. She also appeared in TV series like Lux Video Theatre, The Donna Reed Show, No Job for a Lady and The Vice. Bennett also had her own program, The Sue Bennett Show, which she hosted during 1954. The Wall Game
''The Wall Game'' is a 1985 children's television game show produced by Thames Television for ITV. The show was based on the idea of a theatre workshop and would see two groups of contestants building sets from pieces of a giant wall, then improvise a play. The programme was conceived and presented by Hal Lehrman, Jr and also starred Helen Bennett, Anthony Johns and Sinitta (who also performed the theme song) in series one. Roy Anthony Cutaran Bennett (April 6, 1913, Bayombong, Cagayan Valley, Philippines – November 11, 1990, Rosemead, California, USA) was the outspoken editor of the ''Manila Bulletin'' before and during the Japanese invasion of the Philippines. Imprisonment For 13 months prior to liberation of the Philippines by combined American and Filipino forces in 1945, Bennett was imprisoned and tortured in Santo Tomas Internment Camp and Fort Santiago by the Japanese for his writings opposing the military expansion of the Japanese Empire. His refusal to cooperate with the Japanese occupiers, who desired to use the newspapers as a propaganda organ under their censorship, became symbolic motivation to Filipinos to intensify their resistance. is a 1987 animated television series. It was produced by Universal Television and animated by TMS Entertainment, Tokyo Movie Shinsha (now TMS Entertainment) and distributed, through first-run syndication, by MCA Inc., MCA TV, years before the latter company became NBCUniversal Television Distribution.
