Heidi Hauge
Heidi Hauge (born 14 October 1967) is a Norwegian singer of folk and country music. She began her career as a schlager singer. In 1999 she was noted by a manager of the Norwegian label Showtime Records, thereby signing her first contract. The following year she published her debut album, ''Country Time''. In 2001 her third album, ''Country Girl'', reached the 15th place in the Norwegian album charts. Her best standing was the 7th place in 2004, with the same album. Six of her albums also entered the Danish charts, four of them in the top ten. By the end of 2002, with four published albums, Heidi Hauge had sold 170,000 records in Norway and 25,000 in Denmark, where she had appeared in a TV 2 program to promote her music. The majority of her songs are covers of country music classics, most of them in English but also in the Norwegian language. Skien () is a municipality in Telemark county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Grenland, although historically it belonged to Grenmar/Skiensfjorden, while Grenland referred the Norsjø area and Bø. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Skien, which is also the administrative centre of the whole county. "Seven Spanish Angels" is a song written by Troy Seals and Eddie Setser, and recorded by Ray Charles as a duet with Willie Nelson. It was released in November 1984 as a single from Charles' 1984 album ''Friendship''. Charles and Nelson split the verses, with Charles singing the first and Nelson the second, Charles sang the first and second choruses with Nelson joining for the outro. It was also included on Nelson's 1985 compilation album '' Half Nelson''. "Seven Spanish Angels" was the most successful of Charles' eight hits on the country chart. The single spent one week at number one and a total of twelve weeks on the country chart. "Save the Last Dance for Me" is a song written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, first recorded in 1960 by American musical group the Drifters with Ben E. King on lead vocals. It has since been covered by several artists, including the DeFranco Family, Dolly Parton, and Michael Bublé. Drifters' version In a 1990 interview, songwriter Doc Pomus tells the story of the song being recorded by the Drifters and originally designated as the B-side of the record.
