''Hehes'' is a 2022 Maldivian suspense thriller film directed by Ahmed Nimal. Produced by Ismail Shafeeq and Ali Shaniz Mohamed under Eupe Productions and Shy Production, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Ibrahim Jihad, Ali Azim, Shiyaza Mohamed, Washiya Mohamed, Irufana Ibrahim and Mariyam Shifa in pivotal roles. The film was released on 2 May 2022, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr 1443. Plot Sara (Shiyaza Mohamed) invites her Instagram friend, Ina (Washiya Mohamed) to her island to capture nature photos, who happens to be her husband, Naveen's (Yoosuf Shafeeu) ex-girlfriend. Ahmed Nimal is a Maldivian actor, director, editor, writer and producer. Early life Prior to acting in films, Nimal worked at Maldives Meteorological Service office. His interest in films and acting grew due to the influence of his colleagues including Easa Shareef and other friends who actively take part in theatre plays. Ali Azim is a Maldivian film actor. Career 2010–2016: Early releases Azim expressed his interest in acting at a very young age. Goidhoo (Dhivehi: ގޮއިދޫ) is one of the inhabited islands of Southern Maalhosmadulhu Atoll, code letter "Baa". History In the 19th century, a female African slave who had been bought by the king on his Hajj trip to Mecca was formally released from slavery and was settled in Goidhoo island. A house and a well were built for her. This African woman was called Salaamaa.
