Hefei University Of Technology
The Hefei University of Technology (HFUT; ) is a public university in Hefei, Anhui, China. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education, and co-funded with the Anhui Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and SASTIND. The university is part of the Double First-Class Construction and Project 211. At present, HFUT enrolls 29,480 undergraduate students and 11,800 graduate students. HFUT has four campuses, namely, Tunxilu, Lu’anlu, Feicuihu and Xuancheng, covering an area of about 3,417,390 m2. The first three campuses are all located in Hefei, the provincial capital of Anhui, and the fourth in Xuancheng, a city about 194 kilometers away from Hefei. Hefei is the Capital city, capital of Anhui, China. A prefecture-level city, it is the political, economic, and cultural center of Anhui. Its population was 9,369,881 as of the 2020 census. The World First-Class Universities and First-Class Academic Disciplines Construction (), together known as Double First-Class Construction (), is a higher education development and sponsorship scheme of the Chinese central government, initiated in 2015. Project 211 ( zh, c=, links=no, s=211工程) was a higher education development and sponsorship scheme of the government of China for "preparing approximately 100 universities for the 21st century", initiated in November 1995. There were 115 universities and colleges selected to be part of this program. Project 211 and Project 985 were both initiated by the Jiang Zemin administration in 1990s. Miao Wei (; born May 1955) is a Chinese manufacturing executive and politician. He was the Minister of Industry and Information Technology until August 2020 and as well as the former Communist Party Chief of Wuhan, capital of Hubei province. Li Fusheng (; January 4, 1953 – December 2, 2007) was a Chinese international football goalkeeper.
