''Heera'' is a 1973 film produced and directed by Sultan Ahmed. The film stars Sunil Dutt, Asha Parekh and Shatrughan Sinha in lead roles. Plot Heera lives in a small rural town in India with his father, a Magistrate, and housewife mother. Before that could happen, Changu's daughter is killed and the blame put on Heera. Heera runs away to clear his name which he does in the end. Al Heera
Al Heera is a suburb in Northern Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, traditionally home to the Al Bu Shamis section of the Na'im tribe. At one stage declaring its independence from Sharjah, with its own Sheikh, it formally became part of the Emirate of Sharjah in 1942 on the death of its Ruler, Abdulrahman bin Muhammad Al Shamsi. A coastal settlement with a small harbour formerly used by a number of fishermen and pleasure boat owners, its main distinguishing feature today is its police station, converted in 2019 into the 'Al Heera Literature Society' building. The original coastal fishing village, built mainly of traditional Emirati adobe and coral houses, sat along the corniche in the area immediately behind the Al Heera Police Station but fell into disuse and was home to taxi drivers and illegal labourers through the 1990s until it was cleared. Heera Group UK is a bhangra music band that originated in the early 1980s. Also known as the pioneers of British Bhangra, and one of the most successful British Bhangra bands in history. The lead singers are Palvinder Dhami and Jasvinder Kumar (known as Dhami and Kumar). History Known as the pioneers of British Bhangra, Heera Group was founded in 1979 by Satwant Singh Taak. This which comprised various members. Satwant Singh Taak later invited Kumar and Dhami from India. Heera were the first British Bhangra band who infused traditional Punjabi lyrics with western instruments to appeal to the emergence of the new era of British Asians. Heera Dom was a Bhojpuri poet who contributed to Dalit Literature. He is credited with creating the first poem about the Dalits. The poem was Acchut Kee Shiqayat, which was printed in the "Saraswati" published in Allahabad in 1914.
