Heartbreak Lullaby is a single by the A-Teens for the ''The Princess Diaries'' movie soundtrack in Europe and Asia. The song was written by Jan Kask, Peter Mansson and Cathy Dennis. The song reached number 6 on the Swedish charts and 77 on the German charts in December 2001. The version included on the soundtrack and used in the music video for the song is the "Ray Hedges 7" Mix". In 2002, the song was included on a reissue of the group's second album, '' Teen Spirit''. The "ballad version" of the song was later included on their fourth studio album ''New Arrival'' (2003). A-Teens (stylized as A★TEENS or A*Teens) were a Swedish pop music group from Stockholm, Sweden, formed by Niklas Berg in 1998 originally as an ABBA tribute band called ABBA-Teens and was later renamed A-Teens. ''Teen Spirit'' is the second studio album by the Swedish pop group A-Teens. It was released on 26 February 2001 by Stockholm Records. It was the group's first album of original material. The album was recorded in Sweden with new producers and hitmakers Grizzly and Tysper, among others. While musically it is generally perceived to be more American-driven than the Europop sound of their first album, it does include a varied mix of styles including soul and Latin music. Three singles were released from the album, " Upside Down", "Halfway Around the World" and " Sugar Rush". A new version of the album including bonus tracks was released on 21 January 2002 in Scandinavia, Germany and Mexico.
