Health Translation Queensland
Health Translation Queensland, formerly Brisbane Diamantina Health Partners, is the first Advanced Health Research Translation Centre in Queensland, Australia. History Health Translation Queensland's history dates back to 2011, with the establishment of the Mayne Health Science Alliance and Diamantina Health Partners. In 2014, these two bodies came together with Children's Health Queensland in a collaborative arrangement to form the Brisbane Diamantina Health Partners Academic Health Science System. QIMR Berghofer
The QIMR Berghofer, formerly the Queensland Institute of Medical Research, is an Australian medical research institute and statutory authority located at the Herston Health Precinct in Brisbane, Queensland. The institute was established in 1945 by the Queensland Government, and governed by an independent Council. Originally intended to conduct research into tropical diseases in North Queensland, QIMR Berghofer now conducts research into cancers, infectious diseases, mental health, and chronic disorders. In 2021, the institute received the Queensland Greats Award for their contributions to medicine. Colleen Nelson
Colleen Nelson is an Australian scientist specialising in prostate cancer research. She founded and directs the Australian Prostate Cancer Research Centre – Queensland (APCRC-Q). The Centre, based at the Translational Research Institute and the Princess Alexandra Hospital, spans the spectrum of discovery of new therapeutic targets and their preclinical and clinical development. The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a major Australian teaching hospital of the University of Queensland, located in Brisbane, Queensland. Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) is a convention centre in Brisbane, Australia. It is located in South Brisbane and occupies most of the block formed by Grey Street, Melbourne Street, Merivale Street, and Glenelg Street.
