Healdsburg Prune Packers
The Healdsburg Prune Packers are the collegiate level summer baseball team which has been playing at Recreation Park since 1921. Operating under various organizational structures over the years, the Packers became a part of the California Collegiate League in 2014. As of 2024, they became a charter team of the newly-formed Pacific Empire League. History Founding years In February 1921, under the leadership of the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce, a new baseball team was organized. The first game was played on 15 May 1921 with Red Corrick pitching. The first year included 21 Sunday games against the Nucoa Butters, the Petaluma Leghorns, the Santa Rosa Rosebuds, the San Francisco Ninantic Parlor, the Vallejo Y.M.I., Oakland Maxwell Hardware, San Francisco M.J. Lincoln Potters
The Lincoln Potters are a collegiate wood bat baseball team based in Lincoln, California. They are operating as part of the summer collegiate wood bat league known as the Pacific Empire League. It began operations in 2016 as members of the Great West League. They play their home games at McBean Stadium in Lincoln. The Potters replaced the Lodi Crushers and Sacramento Stealth, who went inactive for 2017. History The Potters were named for the former minor league baseball franchise that played in the Placer-Nevada Baseball League and that was founded by newspaper editor Allen "Scoop" Thurman of the Colfax Record back in 1923. They won PNL championships in 1926, 1941, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1954, 1956 and 1957 and played until 1968. Calvin Wayne Conley (born July 17, 1999) is an American baseball shortstop in the Atlanta Braves organization. He played college baseball for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Early life and amateur career Conley grew up in Mount Carmel, Ohio and attended Loveland High School before transferring to West Clermont High School. Conley enrolled at the University of Miami, but transferred to Texas Tech after his first semester and sat out his true freshman season per NCAA rules. As a redshirt freshman, Conley hit for a .371 average with 24 RBIs in 18 games before the season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.
