Albert Hayhurst
Albert Hayhurst (17 September 1905 – 8 November 1991) was an English cricketer and footballer. Hayhurst was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born in Birdwell, Yorkshire. Hayhurst made his first-class debut for Warwickshire against Kent in the 1934 County Championship. He played a further 6 first-class matches, the last coming against Glamorgan in the 1935 County Championship. He scored 98 runs in these matches, at a batting average of 12.25 and a high score of 42. With the ball he took 12 wickets at a bowling average of 38.08, with best figures of 4/120. Hayhurst was later a Minor counties cricketer for Buckinghamshire, who he debuted for in the 1948 Minor Counties Championship against Staffordshire. He played Minor counties cricket for Buckinghamshire from 1948 to 1953, making 24 appearances. Susan Hayhurst
Susan Hayhurst (December 25, 1820 – August 7, 1909) was an American physician, pharmacist, and educator, and the first woman to receive a pharmacy degree in the United States. Biography Susan Hayhurst was born in Middletown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Quakers Thomas and Martha Hayhurst. She attended school in Wilmington, Delaware and excelled in mathematics. While still a young girl she worked as a teacher at country schools in Bucks County. Taking an interest in chemistry and physiology, she enrolled at the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania, and went on to graduate with a degree in medicine in 1857. She served as principal of the Friends' School in Philadelphia from 1857 to 1867, and for a time operated her own school which was attended by many of her former students. William Hayhurst (December 31, 1887 – May 19, 1975) was a farmer, principal, teacher, businessman and a Canadian federal politician. He was born in Lyvennet Mill, Morland, England. Married Edna Mattern. Father of William LeRoy Hayhurst (born May 25, 1925; died February 27, 2011), Dea Crompton and Grace Lanctot (died August 13, 1998). Hayhurst first ran a seat in the House of Commons of Canada in the 1930 Canadian federal election as a Liberal candidate in the Wetaskiwin district. He was defeated by Incumbent William Irvine, finishing last in a field of three candidates. William Hayhurst (born 24 February 1994) is an English-Irish professional footballer who plays as a winger, who currently plays for Curzon Ashton. Club career Preston North End Hayhurst was born in Longridge on 24 February 1994, and grew up supporting Preston North End. He played for Longridge Town before joining Preston North End U14. There, Hayhurst started his career in the youth system at Preston, and while in the club's academy, Hayhurst suffered an injuries setback, which he broke both of his leg. Terry "The Titan" Hayhurst (born March 11, 1985) is a Canadian former professional darts player from Brantford, Ontario. His accomplishments include winning the Canadian Open in 2010 and 2012. Joseph Hayhurst
Joseph Hayhurst (1864 – 13 June 1919) was a British politician and trade union leader. Born in Lancaster, Lancashire, Hayhurst worked at the Manningham Mills in Bradford, where he joined the Bradford and District Amalgamated Society of Dyers, Crabbers, Singers and Finishers. He took part in the major strike at the mills in 1890 and 1891, and, inspired by the labour movement, he was a founder member of the Bradford Labour Union. From 1893, Hayhurst was a delegate to the Bradford Trades Council, and later in the year, he was elected as general secretary of his union, by now renamed as the Amalgamated Society of Dyers. Under his leadership, membership of the union grew from about 3,000 to well over 10,000.
