Joseph Haydn
Franz Joseph Haydn ( ; ; 31 March 173231 May 1809) was an Austrian composer of the Classical period (music), Classical period. He was instrumental in the development of chamber music such as the string quartet and piano trio. His contributions to musical form have led him to be called "Father of the Symphony" and "Father of the String quartet". Haydn arose from humble origins, the child of working people in a rural village. He established his career first by serving as a chorister at St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna, then through an arduous period as a freelance musician. Eventually he found career success, spending much of his working life as Kapellmeister, music director for the wealthy Esterházy family at their palace of Eszterháza in rural Hungary. Haydn Valentine Fleming (born 14 March 1978) is an English former professional footballer. He made over 30 appearances in the Football League for Cardiff City and played for several clubs in the Welsh Premier League. Career Fleming began his career as a youth player with Queens Park Rangers but was released by the club without making an appearance. Haydn Wood
Haydn Wood (25 March 1882 – 11 March 1959) was a 20th-century English composer and concert violinist, best known for his 200 or so ballad style songs, including the popular '' Roses of Picardy''. Biography Early life and education Haydn Wood was born in the town of Slaithwaite in the West Riding of Yorkshire. When he was three years old his family moved to the Isle of Man, an island which was often a source of inspiration for the composer. His two older brothers were also musicians: Harry (1868-1939) was a violinist, composer and conductor known as "Manxland's King of Music", while Daniel S Wood (1872-1927) was principal flautist with the London Symphony Orchestra from 1910, taught flute at the Royal Academy of Music and composed practice pieces that are still in use today. Haydn Tanner
Haydn Tanner (9 January 1917 – 5 June 2009) was a Welsh international rugby union player who represented both Wales and the British and Irish Lions. At club level, he played for several top-flight teams, including Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, London Welsh and the Barbarians. Personal history Tanner was educated at Gowerton Grammar School and was still a schoolboy when he played at scrum-half for Swansea against the All Blacks at St. Helens in 1935. Swansea won the game by 11 points to 3, with Tanner and his cousin Willie Davies outstanding. The New Zealand captain, Jack Manchester, is said to have passed back the message to New Zealand: "Tell them we have been beaten, but don't tell them it was by a pair of schoolboys". Haydn Robins (born 9 August 1972) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne and Richmond in the Australian Football League (AFL). After winning the Melbourne reserves best and fairest award in 1991, the Ringwood recruit broke into the Melbourne seniors for the first time in round nine of the 1992 AFL season. He made a total of 20 appearances for Melbourne over two seasons, then made his way to Richmond, via the 1994 Pre-Season Draft. (Robins had been slated to be traded in October 1993.) Titanium was a New Zealand pop boy band formed in Auckland in 2012 from the winners of ''The Edge'' radio station's competition to create New Zealand's first authentic boy band. Haydn Gwynne (; 21 March 195720 October 2023) was an English actress. She was nominated for the 1992 BAFTA TV Award for Best Light Entertainment Performance for the comedy series '' Drop the Dead Donkey'' (1990–1991), and won the 2009 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical for her role in the Broadway production of ''Billy Elliot the Musical''. Johann Evangelist Haydn
Johann Evangelist Haydn (December 23, 1743 – May 10, 1805) was a tenor singer of the classical era; the younger brother of the composers Joseph Haydn and Michael Haydn. He was often called "Hansl", a diminutive form of "Johann". Johann was the eleventh child of Mathias Haydn and Anna Maria Koller Haydn (Joseph was second, and Michael sixth). His career training may have been mixed. According to Albert Christoph Dies, an early biographer of Joseph Haydn, Johann followed his older brothers in serving as a choirboy in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. However, Rosemary Hughes indicates that Johann was also trained in the profession of his father Mathias, namely that of wheelwright. Haydn Bunton Jr
Haydn Austin Bunton (born 5 April 1937) is a former Australian rules footballer and coach. The son of the legendary Haydn Bunton Sr., Bunton Jr. played for and in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), as well as and in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL). Bunton was regarded as a tough and skilful player in both South Australia and Western Australia, but it was as a coach that he cemented a reputation alongside his father as one of Australian football's greatest identities. Haydn Bunton Sr
Haydn William Bunton (5 July 1911 – 5 September 1955) was an Australian rules footballer who represented in the Victorian Football League (VFL), in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), and in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) during the 1930s and 1940s. Bunton is the only footballer to have won the Brownlow Medal and the Sandover Medal three times each.
