Haxhi Ballgjini (born 15 June 1958) is a former Albanian footballer who played for Dinamo Tirana, Partizani Tirana, Vllaznia Shkodër and Partizani Tirana and Lokomotiva Durrës, as well as the Albania national team. International career He made his debut for Albania in a November 1976 friendly match against Algeria and earned a total of 15 caps, scoring 1 goal. Haxhi Isuf Banka
Haxhi Isuf Banka (Zhelegu) (1864 – September 1, 1944) was an Albanian economist and politician who served as Minister of Finances in the Toptani Government. Biography Haxhi Isuf Zhelegu was born on 1864 in Tirana, then Ottoman Empire. After finishing elementary schooling in his hometown, he moved to further his studies in Turkey and in 1887, graduated with a degree in Finance from Istanbul University. Later, he returned to Tirana with his family and began to work in the banking sector where eventually he would be known with the moniker surname "Banka" (). On November 26, 1912, he took part in raising the flag of independence in Tirana. Two years later, he was arrested and imprisoned by Haxhi Qamili's rebels. From 1915–1916 he served as Minister of Finances in the Toptani Government, replacing Nexhati Libohova who had been assassinated. Haxhi Faik Hoxha (1930–2011) was an Albanian Imam, Alim, Mufti and educationist from Shkodër. He was known for his role in Albania's post-communist Islamic revival. Early life Haxhi Faik was born on April 14, 1930, in the “Parrucë” neighborhood of Shkodër. He was the son of Sheh Qazim Hoxha, a Sufi Sheikh and Islamic preacher. Hoxha began his education at the “Shkolla e Kuqe” in Tirana, completing it in 1939. He later attended the “ Medreseja e Përgjithshme” in Tirana, where he graduated in 1948. Career and Persecution under Communism In 1950, Haxhi Faik Hoxha was appointed as a professor at Medreseja e Përgjithshme, where he taught religious and general subjects. Haxhi Ymer Kashari known also as Ymer Mustafa Kashari was an Albanian bejtexhi of the 18th century. Haxhi Ymer was born in Tirana in early 18th century. Back then part of the Sanjak of Scutari of the Ottoman Empire, Tirana was already flourishing as an oriental-style town. Haxhi Ymer was a sheikh (Sufi leader) of the Qadiri order of Sufism, a less spread order going towards extinction in Albania. Most of his work is lost because of earlier lack of interest in him. His name Haxhi indicates that he had completed his hajj in Mecca. He used the pen name Suzi. The outer facade of the portal of Et'hem Bey Mosque in Tirana has an inscription written by him with his pen-name as signature. Haxhi Lleshi (1 May 1913 – 1 January 1998) was an Albanian military leader and communist politician who served as the Chairman of the Presidium of the People's Assembly of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania from 1953 to 1982. Biography He was born to a Sunni Gheg Muslim Albanian family in Dibër, North-Central Albania. In the 1920s he worked as a shepherd in his homeland.
