Charles Hawksley (1839–1917) was a British civil engineer.. Hawksley was born in Nottingham, England in 1839 and was the son of civil engineer Thomas Hawksley. He studied at University College London and after graduating entered into apprenticeship with his father's firm, which had been established in 1852 and specialised in water related projects.. From 1857 Hawksley was, with his father, an adviser to the Great Yarmouth Waterworks Company and in 1866 became a partner in his father's firm. Hawksley worked extensively in the water industry and clients included the Newcastle and Gateshead Water Company, Sunderland and South Shields Water Company, Consett Waterworks, Weardale and Shildon District Waterworks and Durham County Water Board. Dorothy Hawksley
Dorothy Webster Hawksley (1884–1 July 1970) was a British artist who painted portraits, figure subjects and landscapes, mainly using watercolour or tempera. Biography Hawksley was born in London and studied at St John's Wood School of Art and then at the Royal Academy Schools, winning awards at both including a silver medal and the Landseer Scholarship at the latter. She taught privately for many years after graduation and exhibited at several galleries and venues. These included the Royal Academy and the Fine Art Society in London, with the Society of Women Artists, at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and at the Paris Salon where she won a silver medal in 1931. The publisher Heinemann commissioned Hawksley to design a number of dust jackets in the early 1930s. Her work is included in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, the Witt Library, the Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery, London. James Hawksley
James Hawksley (born 5 February 1989) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions in Australian Football League (AFL). Hawksley played most of his junior football with Safety Bay Junior Football Club before moving to Mandurah Centrals JFC. He later played with Peel Thunder in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Brisbane Lions Hawksley was drafted to the Brisbane Lions with the 38th selection in the 2006 AFL Draft. He made his debut against in June 2008, round 11. He had 6 disposals (3 handball and kicks) and 2 marks. However, he was dropped next match and returned to Suncoast Lions. Despite his drop from the first team, he continued to impress in AFLQ and was named many times for emergencies for the first team. He eventually won his way back into the senior team following strong form in the QAFL and played in Rounds 19 and 20 of the 2008 season against Hawthorn and the Western Bulldogs where he collected 14 and 17 possessions respectively. ...

Lucinda Hawksley (born 17 November 1977) is an English biographer, author, lecturer, and travel writer. Career Hawksley studied literature and education before starting her career as a book editor. She took a Master of Arts in literature and the history of art and organised and curated an exhibition of the paintings of her relative Kate Dickens-Perugini in 2002 at the Charles Dickens Museum in London. Early life Hawksley was born at Oswestry, Shropshire, son of Bradshaw Warren Hawksley and his wife Monica Augusta. He was educated at Mill Mead Preparatory School in Shrewsbury and Denstone College. On leaving school he joined the employ of Lloyds Bank and was working in its Shrewsbury branch at his election to parliament in 1979. He was a governor at Wolverhampton Polytechnic from 1973 to 1977 and was a member of the West Mercia Police Authority from 1977 to 1981.
