Hawk Nelson Is My Friend
''Hawk Nelson...Is My Friend!'' is the third full-length studio album from Christian rock band Hawk Nelson. It was released on April 1, 2008, debuting at No. 34 on the ''Billboard'' 200. In the first week of its release the album sold a little over 30,000 copies. Hawk Nelson wrote the songs, as usual together with Trevor McNevan, but this time also with Richard Marx and Raine Maida. The album was produced by award-winning David Bendeth (Paramore, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus). The album artwork, created by Invisible Creature, was nominated for a Grammy in 2008 for Best Recording Package. Singles "Friend Like That" was the first single from the album, released in the iTunes Store on December 24, 2007. A music video was filmed for the song. In 2008, "You Have What I Need" was released as the second single, as well as the track "One Little Miracle". Also the album track "Let's Dance" has been released in three versions as an EP. Hawk Nelson was a Canadian Christian pop-punk band from Peterborough, Ontario. Formed in 2000, the band has released eight studio albums. Bassist/backing vocalist Daniel Biro was the band's only founding member to remain throughout their entire history. Invisible Creature
Invisible Creature is an illustration and graphic design studio based in Seattle, Washington. It is run by brothers Don and Ryan Clark and was formed in 2006. Don and Ryan are also the co-founders of Asterik Studio (2000-2008). Clients include: NASA, Pixar, Target, Apple, USPS, LEGO, Warby Parker, Cinerama, etc. Don is also Art Director at Canlis restaurant in Seattle.Some of the studio's designs are highlighted in the two brothers' book "Face the Music: Twenty Years of Album Art". Matthew Gerrard is a Canadian record producer and songwriter. Biography Gerrard grew up in Don Mills, a suburb of Toronto's north-east end. He attended George S. Henry Secondary School where he played trombone in band, later playing bass in a school-based 5-piece jazz fusion combo called Nemesis Fusion. "Friend Like That" is the first single from Hawk Nelson's third album, ''Hawk Nelson Is My Friend''. It was released on Christmas Eve of 2007. This song is on the Digital Praise PC game Guitar Praise. This song was appearing by the compilation album WOW Hits 2009 and his regular versions. Release "Friend Like That" was released as single through iTunes on December 24, 2007. In its first week of release to iTunes, the song sold 25,000 digital copies. In the week of March 19, 2008, "Friend Like That" was at #5 on R&R's Christian CHR chart, and had jumped to the #3 position on the Christian rock songs chart.
