''Hati Tayo sa Magdamag'' () is a 1988 Filipino romantic drama film directed by Lupita A. Kashiwahara and written by Armando Lao. Adapted from the ''Extra Special Komiks'' "Philippine comics, komik" of the same name by Sally Esteban, it stars Edu Manzano, Tetchie Agbayani, Jaclyn Jose, Jacklyn Jose, Francis Magalona, Armida Siguion Reyna, Caridad Sanchez and Eddie Rodriguez. Produced by Viva Films, the film was released on March 9, 1988. Critic Lav Diaz gave ''Hati Tayo sa Magdamag'' a mixed review, stating that the film is "not too good and not quite a failure" while giving praise to Jose's performance. Armando Lao
Armando "Bing" Lao (September 6, 1948 – June 18, 2024) was a Filipino screenwriter and film director best known for writing the screenplay for films such as Brillante Mendoza's ''Kinatay'', Jeffrey Jeturian's ''Kubrador'' and ''Pila Balde'', and Chito S. Roño's ''Suntok sa Buwan''. Lao also founded the Philippines' influential "Found Story Screenwriting Workshop". Lao died at the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City, on June 18, 2024, at the age of 75.
