Hassan Hamdy
Hassan Hamdy was the 12th and president of the Football in Egypt, Egyptian Al Ahly SC, Al Ahly Sporting Club. He was the vice president of the club during Saleh Selim's presidency and the chairman of Al-Ahram advertising agency which is part of the Al-Ahram association and the president of the International Advertising Association (IAA)'s Cairo branch. He also played for Al Ahly football team as a midfielder/defender in 1960 and 1970, and was the 20th captain of the squad. He played for Egypt national football team from early seventies to late seventies of the last century. Zamalek ( ar, الزمالك , ''al zamalek'') is an affluent district of western Cairo encompassing the northern portion of Gezira Island in the Nile River. Saleh Selim
Saleh Selim ( ar, صالح سليم) (11 September 1930 - 6 May 2002) was the 10th president of the Egyptian Al Ahly Sporting Club. He also was a famous Egyptian football player and actor. He was nicknamed El Maestro because of his way of leading the Al Ahly football team to many victories. He then became the manager of the team, then member of the board of directors of the club. He finally became one of the most successful presidents of the club. Early life Saleh was born on 11 September 1930 in Dokki, Giza, and his father is Dr. Mohamed Selim, one of the pioneers of Anesthesiology in Egypt. Football is the most popular sport in Egypt, many Egyptians gather around to watch various Egyptian clubs and the Egyptian national football team play on an almost daily basis. Al Ahly and Zamalek are amongst the most popular in the country, both of which are based in Cairo. Both teams compete in the Egyptian Premier League, the highest tier of Egyptian football.
