Hassan Farsam
Hassan Farsam (September 27, 1932 in Tehran – February 5, 2016) was an Iranian pharmacist and medical chemist. He studied pharmacy at Tehran University and became a medical chemistry specialist in 1960. Farsam received post doctorate in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Paris University (1964) and University of California (1988). He was a Professor of Medical Chemistry in Faculty of Pharmacy of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He was also a permanent member of the Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences. The University of Tehran (UT) or Tehran University (, ) is a public collegiate university in Iran, and the oldest and most prominent Iranian university located in Tehran. Iranian Academy Of Medical Sciences
The Academy of Medical Sciences of Iran () was formally inaugurated in 1990. It had received its mandate from the High Council of Cultural Revolution and Legislature of the Islamic Republic of Iran two years earlier and its existence had been foreseen in the 1986 Charter of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. It is one of the four academies of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) (, ''Danushgah-e 'lum Pezeshki-ye Tehran'') is the largest and most highly ranked medical university of Iran. In September 2008, Iran's Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, Lankarani, called TUMS a pioneer in research throughout the country with a noticeable lead over its peers.
