Robert (Bob) "Bobby" Ursel (born February 12, 1965) is a Canadian curler and curling coach. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ursel lives of Kelowna, British Columbia. Curling career After finishing 6–5 at the 1983 Canadian Junior Men's Curling Championship, Ursel skipped his native Manitoba to a Canadian Junior Curling Championship In 1984. The following year, he skipped the Canadian Junior Team to a World Junior Curling Championship title. That team was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 2016. It would be 15 years out of junior that Ursel would finally make it to the Brier. He played third for Bert Gretzinger's 1999 British Columbia team. They finished 5-6. The 2021 Japan Curling Championships (branded as the 38th Zen-Noh Japan Curling Championships) were held from February 8 to 14 at the Wakkanai City Midori Sports Park in Wakkanai, Hokkaido, Japan. Both the men's and women's events were played in a round robin format which qualified four teams for a page playoff. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was reduced from its usual nine teams to just seven teams. The winning teams earned the right to represent Japan at the 2021 World Men's Curling Championship and the 2021 World Women's Curling Championship respectively. The 2023 World Junior-B Curling Championships were held from December 8 to 19 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland. Ayumi Ogasawara
is a Japanese curler, born November 25, 1978, as . She skipped her own team in Sapporo, Hokkaido, until 2015, which represented Japan at the 2014 Winter Olympics before retiring from competitive sports. Currently she is working as a curling coach. Career At the age of 12, Ogasawara began curling in her hometown Tokoro, joining Akiko Katoh's junior team together with Yumie Hayashi. Then Ogasawara became the second for the team. The team represented Japan at four World Junior Curling Championships (1996, 1997, 1998 & 1999), winning a silver medal in 1998 and another silver in 1999.
