Dr Harty Cup
The Dr. Harty Cup is an annual inter-schools hurling competition organised by the Munster GAA, Munster PPS GAA division of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It has been contested every year, except on three occasions, since 1918. As the pinnacle of inter-schools hurling competition in the province of Munster, the winning of a Harty Cup medal is viewed by some players as more important than an All-Ireland medal. The final, usually held in February, serves as the culmination of a Round-robin tournament, round-robin group stage and Single-elimination tournament, knockout series of games played between October and February. Eligible players must be under the age of 19. The Dr. Harty Cup is an integral part of the wider Dr Croke Cup, All-Ireland PPS Championship. Harty, Swale
Harty is a small hamlet in the civil parish of Leysdown, on the Isle of Sheppey, in the Swale district, in the county of Kent, England. It consists of a few cottages, a church and a public house, the Ferry Inn (a ). History The earliest recorded evidence of human occupation comes from a late Bronze Age hoard of axes, gouged bronze founder's appliances and metal. The find has wider importance from the information it gives into methods used for casting in the late Bronze Age. Evidence of Roman occupation also exists; finds of tesserae, roof and flue tiles may indicate the site of a Roman villa. During the Middle Ages there were extensive salt workings. Remains today consist of groups of ''salt mounds'' which are the waste left over from the process. Park Farmhouse is a dating from the 16 century. Val Rita-Harty
Val Rita-Harty is a township municipality in Cochrane District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. The township consists of two communities, Val Rita and Harty, both located along Highway 11 between Opasatika and Kapuskasing. It was incorporated as a township in 1973, following a failed community effort in 1964 to request incorporation as a municipality.
