Harsh, Sikar
Harsh is a village in Sikar tehsil in Sikar district in Rajasthan, India. It is a place of religious importance. Harshnath is an old Hindu temple situated in Harsh Village. In 2001, the population of the village was 6016, out of which 772 are Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Caste and 58 are Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Tribe people. It is at latitude 27.52, longitude 75.18 and 554 meters in altitude. The place is known for Harasnath temple at Mt. Harsha (c. mid-10th century). It is known for an inscription created in 961 AD. John Harsh
John Harsh (September 25, 1825 – May 10, 1906) was an American farmer and politician. Born in Warren, Ohio, Harsh settled in Milford, Jefferson County, Wisconsin, in 1850 and then moved to the town of Stockbridge, Calumet County, Wisconsin, where he had a farm, in 1852. Harsh enlisted in the Union Army during the American Civil War and was stationed in the commissary department in Saint Louis, Missouri. While in the Union Army, Harsh was stricken with typhoid fever and was sent home. He tried to reenlist in the army but was rejected because of his physical condition. During that time, Harsh served as chairman and supervisor of the Stockbridge Town Board. George Harsh (March 15, 1810 – May 5, 1897) was an American politician from Ohio. He served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing Stark County from 1846 to 1847 and served as a member of the Ohio Senate from 1860 to 1864.
