Harry Tector
Harry Tom Tector (born 6 December 1999) is an Irish cricketer. He was part of Ireland's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his full international debut for the Ireland cricket team in September 2019. In January 2020, he was one of nineteen players to be awarded a central contract from Cricket Ireland, the first year in which all contracts were awarded on a full-time basis. Domestic and T20 career Tector made his Twenty20 cricket debut for Munster Reds in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Trophy on 26 May 2017. Tector made his List A cricket, List A debut for Northern Knights (cricket team), Northern Knights in the 2018 Inter-Provincial Cup on 28 May 2018. 2018–19 Oman Quadrangular Series
The 2018–19 Oman Quadrangular Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament, that was held in Oman in February 2019. The series was played between Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands and hosts Oman. The Ireland team became the first Full Member side to tour the country. All the matches were played at the Al Emarat Cricket Stadium in Muscat. Ahead of the final day of matches, the Netherlands had won both of their fixtures, therefore with a win against Ireland in their final match, they would win the series. However, the Netherlands lost the game against Ireland by one wicket, with Stuart Poynter hitting a six off the last ball to win the match. Despite the win, Ireland finished behind the Netherlands in the table on net run rate. The Netherlands would win the series if Scotland failed to defeat Oman in the final match. 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament that was held in New Zealand from 13 January to 3 February 2018. It was the twelfth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the third to be held in New Zealand (after the 2002 and 2010 events). New Zealand was the first country to host the event three times. The opening ceremony took place on 7 January 2018. The West Indies were the defending champions. However, they failed to defend their title, after losing their first two group fixtures. The captain of a cricket team, often referred to as the skipper, is the appointed leader, having several additional roles and responsibilities over and above those of the other players. 2019 Inter-Provincial Championship
The 2019 Inter-Provincial Championship, known for sponsorship reasons as the Test Triangle Inter-Provincial Championship, was the seventh edition of the Inter-Provincial Championship, a first-class cricket competition played in Ireland. It took place from 28 May to 29 August 2019. It was the third edition of the competition to be played with first-class status. North West Warriors were the defending champions. The tournament was heavily affected by rain, with none of the games being completed. Only six days of play across the eighteen that were scheduled took place. Euro T20 Slam
The Euro T20 Slam is a planned professional Twenty20 cricket league. The first edition of the tournament was initially scheduled to start in August 2019, with matches to be held in Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands. It's launch has been postponed on several occasions due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. History In March 2019, Cricket Scotland, Cricket Ireland and Royal Dutch Cricket Association officially announced the Euro T20 Slam. 2018 Inter-Provincial Championship
The 2018 Inter-Provincial Championship was the sixth edition of the Inter-Provincial Championship, a first-class cricket competition played in Ireland. It was held from 1 May to 6 September 2018. It was the second edition of the competition to be played with first-class status. Leinster Lightning were the defending champions. The venue for the opening fixture, originally scheduled to take place at Oak Hill Cricket Club Ground, was moved to Pembroke Cricket Club, due to poor weather. Seventeen of Ireland's international players took part in the opening fixture of the tournament, ahead of Ireland's first Test match, which was played against Pakistan on 11 May 2018. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The 2018 Inter-Provincial Cup was the sixth edition of the Inter-Provincial Cup, a List A cricket competition played in Ireland. It was held from 28 May to 9 September 2018. It is the second edition of the competition to be played with List A status. Leinster Lightning were the defending champions. In the second match of the tournament, between Leinster Lightning and Northern Knights, Simi Singh and George Dockrell of Leinster Lightning set a new record partnership in List A cricket for the seventh wicket, with 215 runs.
