Harry Manenti
Harry John Manenti (born 5 October 2000) is an Australian-Italian cricketer who represents the Italy national cricket team, qualifying as a citizen by descent. Career Described as an all-rounder, Manenti hit consecutive sixes in the final of the Australian National Premier t20 cricket competition in 2020, to help his Sydney team beat Adelaide University. In March 2022 he completed his first season playing club cricket for New Town Cricket Club and was awarded the Emerson Rodwell Medal as the men's first grade player of the year. He made his debut for the Italy national cricket team in July 2022. The following month he hit his first century for Italy, scoring 106 against Hong Kong. In June 2023, he was selected as part of the South Australia cricket team pathway squad. He also joined the Adelaide-based West Torrens Cricket Club. All Rounder (cricket)
An all-rounder is a cricketer who regularly performs well at both batting and bowling. Although all bowlers must bat and quite a handful of batsmen do bowl occasionally, most players are skilled in only one of the two disciplines and are considered specialists. Some wicket-keepers have the skills of a specialist batter and have been referred to as all-rounders, but the term ''wicket-keeper-batter'' is more commonly applied to them, even if they are substitute wicket keepers who also bowl. The West Harbour Rugby Football Club is a team in the Shute Shield, the premier club rugby union football competition in New South Wales. The club is based in Concord in the Inner West of Sydney, and plays home matches at Concord Oval. Concord holds a place in rugby history as a venue for the inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987. Australia Women's National Rugby Sevens Team
The Australia women's national rugby sevens team, are the Australia national rugby sevens team of women. They were champions of the inaugural Women's Sevens World Cup in 2009. The team plays in the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series as one of the "core teams" on the world tour, of which they have been crowned Champions three times. The team also played in the preceding competition to the current world series, the IRB Women's Sevens Challenge Cup. In 2016, they won the inaugural gold medal at the Rio Summer Olympics. Sydney University Football Club
The Sydney University Football Club, founded in 1863, is the oldest club now playing rugby union in Australia, although this date is disputed by historian Tom Hickie who argues that it was 1865. Sydney Uni was a member of the inaugural Sydney club competition in 1874, along with the Balmain Rugby Union Football Club, Newington College and The King's School. The club currently competes in the Shute Shield competition and has the most senior premiership titles of all Sydney clubs. John Manenti
John Manenti (born 1972) is an Australian rugby union coach. He is currently head coach of the Australian sevens team. Career As a rugby player, Manenti was a prop for Sydney clubs Western Suburbs and Sydney University in the 1990s. Manenti and Sydney University's former head coach Chris Malone are brothers-in-law. He coached the Wallaroos at the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup in England, where team won the bronze medal defeating 22–8 in the third place match. He was head coach at Eastwood for their three Shute Shield victories in 2011, 2014 and 2015, and also won the Australian Club Championship with Eastwood in 2015. In 2017, Manenti coached the Greater Sydney Rams in the National Rugby Championship, following the takeover of the franchise by the Eastwood Rugby Club.
