Harry L. Ott Jr. (born October 2, 1952) is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, Ott was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing the 93rd District. He represented the district from 1998 through June 30, 2013. He served as the Minority Leader. Ott resigned to serve in the Farm Service Agency. Russell L. Ott is an American lobbyist and politician from the state of South Carolina. A member of the Democratic Party, he is the Representative for the 93rd district of the South Carolina House of Representatives. Ott is a former Assistant Minority Leader of the House. Early life Ott is a native of St. Matthews, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor's degree in English. He received his Master of Public Administration from the University of South Carolina. He has served as a member and state convention delegate for the Calhoun County Democratic Party. Orangeburg, also known as ''The Garden City'', is the principal city in and the county seat of Orangeburg County, South Carolina, United States. The population of the city was 13,964 according to the 2010 United States Census and declined to 12,704 in the 2020 census. The city is located 37 miles southeast of Columbia, on the north fork of the Edisto River. The South Carolina House of Representatives is the lower house of the South Carolina General Assembly. It consists of 124 representatives elected to two-year terms at the same time as U.S. congressional elections.
