Harry Eugene Wood
Harry Eugene Wood (May 31, 1926 – November 23, 2009) was a judge of the United States Court of Claims from 1969 to 1982, and on the United States Court of Federal Claims from 1982 to 1986. Early life, education, and career Wood was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He served in the United States Army during World War II, from 1944 to 1946. United States Court Of Federal Claims
The United States Court of Federal Claims (in case citations, Fed. Cl. or C.F.C.) is a United States federal court that hears monetary claims against the U.S. government. It was established by statute in 1982 as the United States Claims Court, and took its current name in 1992. The court is the successor to trial division of the United States Court of Claims, which was established in 1855. The courthouse of the Court of Federal Claims is situated in the Howard T. Judge Advocate General's Corps, United States Army
The Judge Advocate General's Corps of the United States Army, also known as the U.S. Army JAG Corps, is the legal arm of the United States Army. It is composed of Army officers who are also lawyers and who provide legal services to the Army at all levels of command, and also includes legal administrator warrant officers, paralegal noncommissioned officers and junior enlisted personnel, and civilian employees. The Judge Advocate General of the United States Army (TJAG)—the commanding general of the Army JAG Corps—is a lieutenant general.
