Harry Baer
Harry Baer (born Harry Zöttl on 27 September 1947) is a German actor, producer and author, best known for his work with director Rainer Werner Fassbinder. He has also been credited as Harry Bär. Life Harry Baer began his career in Munich when he joined the Action Theatre, a theatrical experimental group that later regrouped as the Antitheather under the leadership of Rainer Werner Fassbinder.Lorenz '' Chaos as Usual'', p.48 He made his debut in Fassbinder's play ''Katzelmacher'' and had his first movie role in Fassbinder's film adaptation. Doris Dörrie (; born 26 May 1955) is a German film director, producer and author. Early life and education Born in Hanover, Dörrie completed her secondary education there in 1973. The same year, she began a two-year attendance in film studies in the drama department of the University of the Pacific (United States), University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She then studied at the New School of Social Research in New York. She worked odd jobs in cafés and as a film presenter in New York's Goethe-Institut. In 1975, back in West Germany, Dörrie began to study at the University of Television and Film Munich. Career Dörrie wrote film reviews for the ''Süddeutsche Zeitung'', where she was also assistant editor. Subsequently, Dörrie worked as a volunteer for various television stations, and filmed short documentaries. ''Despair'' is a 1978 film directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder and starring Dirk Bogarde, based on the 1934 novel of the same name by Vladimir Nabokov.
