Harley Moore
Harley Moore (born 24 February 1995) is an Australian representative sweep-oar rower. He was a 2017 U23 World Champion and has represented at senior World Championships. Club and state rowing Moore attended St Joseph's College, Nudgee where he took up rowing. His senior club rowing has been from the Commercial Rowing Club in Brisbane. Moore first made state selection for Queensland in the 2022 men's senior eight which contested the King's Cup at the Interstate Regatta within the Australian Rowing Championships. International representative rowing Moore debuted for Australia at the 2013 Junior World Championships in Trakai, racing a coxless pair which finished in thirteenth place. Rowing (sport)
Rowing, sometimes called crew in the United States, is the sport of racing boats using oars. It differs from paddling sports in that rowing oars are attached to the boat using oarlocks, while paddles are not connected to the boat. Rowing is divided into two disciplines: sculling and sweep rowing. In sculling, each rower holds two oars—one in each hand, while in sweep rowing each rower holds one oar with both hands. There are several boat classes in which athletes may compete, ranging from single sculls, occupied by one person, to shells with eight rowers and a coxswain, called eights. There are a wide variety of course types and formats of racing, but most elite and championship level racing is conducted on calm water courses long with several lanes marked using buoys. World Rowing U23 Championships is an international rowing regatta organized by FISA The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 ("FISA" , ) is a United States federal law that establishes procedures for the physical and electronic surveillance and the collection of "foreign intelligence information" between "foreign pow ... Alexander Hill (rower)
Alexander Hill (born 11 March 1993) is an Australian representative rower. He is an Australian national champion, a dual Olympian, an Olympic gold and silver medallist and was the 2017 and 2018 world champion in the coxless four. He stroked the Australian men's coxless four to a gold medal victory at the Tokyo Olympics. Club and state rowing Hill grew up in Loxton, South Australia. He attended Loxton North Primary School and took up rowing at Prince Alfred College in Adelaide. His senior club rowing has been from the Adelaide Rowing Club. In 2012, from 2014 to 2017 and in 2019 Hill was seated in the South Australian state representative men's eights competing for the King's Cup at the Interstate Regatta within the Australian Rowing Championships. Rowing World Cup
The World Rowing Cup is an international rowing competition organized by FISA (the International Rowing Federation). It began in 1997 and comprises three regattas (apart from in 2001 when there were four) held throughout early summer. In each event points are awarded to the top seven finishing boats and an overall winner determined after the last world cup regatta each year. During the regattas the current leader in each event must wear yellow bibs. Jack Cleary (born 8 August 1995) is an Australian representative rower. He is an Australian national champion, has represented at world championships and is an Olympic medallist. He raced in the Australian men's quad scull at Tokyo 2021 to a bronze medal. Club and state rowing Cleary was schooled at Trinity College, Perth where he took up rowing. His senior club rowing started from the West Australian Rowing Club.
